Kapitel 123: How close they might be

On their way home, Kim Ji-hun got a call from Kang Dae-Jung after a long while.

"You forgot to tell me today was your mother's birthday." Dae-Jung complained over the phone.

"I thought you already had more than enough on your plate, so I decided to let you stay out of trouble." Kim Ji-hun replied.

A long silence followed before Ji-hun spoke up again. "How is life?" He was aware of what his friend might be going through.

Although he did not have the time to be there for every time, he has to at least check up on him once in a while.

"I filed for a divorce today, plus the custody of my daughter after that woman refused to have a peaceful freedom." Dae-Jung spilled.

Even after the threat he had given to Nari, the woman dared to not sign the divorce papers and instead tear the papers in front of him when it was time to hand it over to him.
