When Alix woke up she was met with darkness, she groaned in pain raising her head from the bed. She glanced around her wondering how she had ended up in the bed, last she remembered was crying close to the window and there she had fallen asleep. A sharp pain shot through her head "ah! What the heck is happening to me?" She grumbled raising her hand to her head, when she touched her head she jolted backward "oh my I could boil an egg with my head." She mumbled realizing the pain and weakness in her body.
Everything that happened before she passed out flashed before her eyes, she remember arguing with the weird man who wanted her to bare his child. She remembered how she had firmly refused and he had then told her he would lock her up till she agreed, tears peeked through the corner of her eyes when she remembered his words. Her situation was hopeless, as she wallowed in her pains, sorrows, and regret the door pushed open revealing a younger man than the grumpy imbecile. Terry's lips curved into a bright and welcoming smile before stepping fully into Alix's room.
"Tsk! Tsk! I told him to be gentle with the young beautiful lady, instead, he did the opposite of what he was instructed." Terry murmured to himself in low whispers, his brows twisting in frustration.
"Who are you? What are you doing here? Please leave, go I don't want to talk to you." Alix mumbled holding onto the bed in a tight grip, she moved backward in fear thinking he was like the mean man who entered previously.
"You don't have to worry, calm yourself. I am not here to scare you or anything like that, breath in please." Terry muttered in a calming tone to Alix, placing his suitcase on the bed.
"I am your doctor, am here to treat you. Don't worry and don't be scared please, I am not like Ace." Terry mumbled stepping closer to her, a gentle smile stretched out on his lips.
"You won't harm me, right? Right?" Alix asked with wide eyes, her grip lessened from the bed but she was still conscious around him.
"No I won't harm you, I was told you fell unconscious and were running a temperature so I am here to treat you. My name is Terry and you?" Terry approached her explaining himself. "Alix, my name is Alix," Alix mumbled.
"Nice to meet you, Alix, lie down so I can check up on you. I have to carry out some tests and give you a few drugs." Terry remarked bringing his suitcase and placing it beside her. Alix lay obediently listening to him, she had a feeling he wasn't like the mean man who came into her room in the morning.
After checking and carrying out some tests on Alix's body Terry backed off a little, "apart from your high temperature and cold you are alright, you just need to take some rest and then you will be fine and as good as new." Terry mumbled packing up his stuff.
"Thank you doc, but I have a question to ask if you don't mind," Alix mumbled studying Terry thoroughly.
"Yes, you may ask whatever you want to?" Terry replied his lips stretching into a smile.
"Are you the mean man's brother? Or do you work for him? Is he a rich man or he works as a servant here?" Alix bombarded Terry with these questions leaving him speechless and tongue-tied. He didn't know how to answer her question or what to say to her at all, he guessed Ace had acted like an asshole to the poor lady too.
"Am not his brother, we are just friends. He is mean I can back you up for that and also he doesn't work as a servant he is the richest man in the whole of Country B, I am the second after him. Do you know the Hawthorne's business empire?" Terry asked also taking the chance to brag about himself.
Alix thought about Terry's words for a while, who didn't know the Hawthorne business empire? It was the talk of Country B, both adults, children, and youths everyone talked about the multinational company. "Yes, he owns that business empire."
Terry dropped the bomb on her when he saw she had a realization, Making Alix's eyes widen in a big surprise. "You mean to say he is the owner of the business empire, he is the famous business tycoon who is known to be cold and heartless?" Alix questioned with question marks on her head.
Terry nodded his head with a smirk on his face, he stared at Alix's face which looked cute as she was bewildered and surprised. "That's right he is the one, you can't call him a servant now can you? After knowing his identity, don't mention this to him tho. Don't tell him I told you."
Terry mumbled picking up his bag and walking out of the room with a proud expression on his face, he was happy with what he had achieved so far. "What did you tell her? And why is your smile so wide and accurate? You seem suspicious to me." Taylor ( Ace's Personal Assistant) Muttered standing at the door post of Ace's room and glaring at Terry.
He knew this man could never keep his mouth shut and was always talking, he found his happiness suspicious too. "That's none of your business Taylor, you don't have the right to question me. Remember??" Terry mumbled curbing his smile.
"Oh please, why can't I question my brother when he is smiling suspiciously, that too after coming out of the young lady's room? Did you pull your charm on her??" Taylor mumbled disregarding Terry's words.
"I won't explain to you, just tell the boss I have gotten her treated and that he may need to see her soon too. Also, Father wants to see you, come to the mansion sometime." Terry mumbled to Taylor before walking towards the stairs.
"Don't worry too much, I didn't say anything about his identity to her. Just some little snippets" Terry mumbled before walking off, his lips had a smirk on it.
