He Juan felt like he was suspended in nothingness. His consciousness was fragmented and he had become a mere specter in the void, simply existing without purpose. Time had no meaning in this state. Sometimes, faint voices would travel through the darkness and reach his ears, though he couldn't tell for certain whether they were real or just a product of his imagination.

Had he died? 

Or was this how the afterlife really was? A boundless expanse of void where nothing really mattered?
