Lyle had a restless night.

He fell asleep, but his dreams kept waking him up.

He was, in all honesty, a bit nervous.

He was not only going to leave the place he was familiar with, but he was also going to make his way over to the Moonless Night Empire, and he had to continue leveling up, hunting, and growing stronger so that when he arrived at the empire, he would really be a Vampire Lord.

Even though the Empress was seemingly very friendly to him, Lyle still had no idea how she would act once he was actually there.

He had no idea whether she would truly continue being friendly or not, nor what she was planning on doing with him.

Was what she was doing truly because she cared for him, because there was something she saw in him?

Or is there something she wished to take from Lyle?

What if she was after his blood, after all, the blood of the Aegar family runs through his body, was the Empress interested in that?
