It was a crossbow, a huge crossbow that looked more like a ballistae than a crossbow.

There were many magical runes on the crossbow, but unfortunately, even though most were there to strengthen the weapon, some were also there to destroy it right after it was used.

As it was right now, the crossbow was ruined, with nothing remaining except mere wood and the runes that were still destroying it. There was nothing that any of them could do to stop it, or to research it and see how it was made.
