” where were you?” she heard her father clear voice echo in the silence room.

“I was in the garden taking a stroll” she said with as much composure as she could.

“At this time of the night?”

“Am sorry I didn’t notice the time”

“Liar” that single word from Robert seemed to send shivers down her spine “where were you Madison?”

Taking a deep breath to calm her rapid breathing and erractic nerve she put on a smile “am so sorry your grace I made you wait, had I know you where coming earlier that stated I would had made better preparations for your arrival”

“Where were you Madison?” his voice once again boomed in the quite room.

“I was simply……”

“I suggest you think twice before answering that question because it will be the last time I will ask you”, “where were you Madison” he enunciated each word while grinding his teeth.
