Kapitel 229: I miss you

She turned her head sharply in his direction, shooting a glare at him. "There is no other way, and we don't have time to come up with another plan. I want that guy dead and I'm going to do whatever it takes to achieve that. Protecting him with your words will not help him this time." 

"Protecting Varesh?" Veron tilted his head. "The only person I am trying to protect here is you." He revealed, his anger growing and the atmosphere was becoming tense for the other werewolves, who were moving their eyes from one to the other as the heated exchange continued.

"I don't need your protection." Celeste declared. "I can take care of myself." 

"Can you?" Veron lifted a brow, throwing Celeste off for a moment as she wondered what he meant by that question.
