Kapitel 253: Chapter 253

Firmwood town was 40 miles away from the nearest city of Greenflower, it is located east beyond the open flat land and into the dense mountain forest under the domain of Ivlares, the area where Firmwood resided was bountiful of medicinal herbs and natural resources for making healing potion,

The founder of Firmwood town, a former mage, was highly skilled in the art of potion-making. His expertise and connection to the patriarch of Ivlares family played a significant role in securing the land for the town's establishment.

This foresight allowed Firmwood to thrive and become renowned for its high-quality healing potions even before Ugrihron gained its authority, where the current Viscountess Hilas Ugrihron became the domain owner after marrying the last male descendant of the Ivlares clan, was born.

Firmwood became a center of controversy when nearly half of their population was killed by a demented member of their town, their reputation was slightly tarnished but after a few weeks they were able to secure their position as the largest healing potion producer in the region, they just hide all the remnants of that particular event,

and even the main culprit behind it was concealed away, but she was constantly abused until this very night upon her death, Hirnésa Edhelreth unconscious rage created the blood tree that was secretly realised fumes that were toxic, some people that inhaled instantly became sick, luckily their knowledge in creating healing potion help them and connected the incident was created from Hirnésa Edhelreth burnt body was the tree sprung out from.

at the same, the blood tree didn't let them escape as its roots were slowly already corrupting the surrounding area and contaminating all the trees that were surrounding and protecting the middle size town from unwanted visitors,

The Blood Tree's ability to create and accidentally spurt out toxic chemicals was a constant threat to the townspeople. In order to protect themselves, they decided to seal it behind layers of metal and glass.

Despite their efforts, the resilience of the Blood Tree was beyond understanding. It patiently waited, tricking everyone into believing that it was no longer dispersing poison in their surroundings. As time went on, Hirnésa Edhelreth's tale became nothing more than a sad story told to scare little kids

The townspeople were unaware that slowly they were being poisoned by the toxic fumes emitted by the blood tree. Many months passed by as their population began to increase again because of their mayor's invitation to other surrounding villages and hire more people to live and be part of the potion-making community, countless families came and begin their lives as permanent residents of Firmwood,

bringing new energy and diversity to the once-dwindling town. With the influx of new residents, Firmwood began to thrive once more, its streets bustling with activity and its economy flourishing. Little did they know, however, that the poisonous secret of the blood tree still lingered in their midst, silently affecting their health and well-being.

As their health deteriorated, they started experiencing strange symptoms and mysterious illnesses. The local healers were puzzled by the sudden surge in patients and desperately searched for a cure, they were aware of the true source of the problem, but whatever they did the tree would just spurt out toxic chemicals, so the townspeople just continued to seal it behind metal and glass, and added enchantment spells to cleanse any harmful chemical it would release within the closed glass container.

but they never secure the roots, as time went on, the tree's roots continued to grow deeper and spread wider, reaching further into the ground. Unbeknownst to the townspeople, these roots were still able to release toxic chemicals into the soil, posing a long-term threat to the surrounding environment.

Everyone in the town of Firmwood went on with their daily lives like nothing was happening, even though some were already sick. They were all too greedy and blind to see this, and because of their huge merchant transactions with many warlords slowly joining the sovereign war campaign, their healing potion business expanded and became the fifth mass producer and seller of grade B potions.

However, little did they know that their greed and ignorance would soon come back to haunt them. As the number of sick individuals continued to rise, the demand for healing potions skyrocketed, putting immense pressure on the town's natural resources. With warlords joining the sovereign war campaign, Firmwood's healing potion business faced an even greater challenge: meeting the growing demands while maintaining the quality of their potions.

As the conflict among the warlords gradually escalated, many warring factions wanted to secure their supply, no matter the cost. The succeeding mayor made sure that his middle-sized town could evolve into a city and gain a certain amount of recognition from the dominant warring clan. In every town, people had to work hard to finally escape the dark past of their town, which was plagued by constant battles and destruction. The mayor implemented various development projects, such as infrastructure improvements and economic incentives, to attract businesses and investors.

As tales of the Red Witch curse became the town's biggest burden and issue, the mayor also focused on dispelling the superstitions surrounding the curse. He organized community events and brought in experts to educate those who were not living in the town about the true origins of the so-called curse, and he pushed that the deaths of their fellow people were caused by a fallen family and not by any supernatural force.

By addressing the misconceptions surrounding the curse, the mayor aimed to restore confidence in the town and encourage growth and prosperity. Additionally, he established partnerships with neighboring towns to foster collaboration and create a united front against external threats, ultimately leading to a more peaceful and prosperous future for their community, Even if they were just covering up the lies and desperately showing that they were still physically and mentally healthy.

The war for claiming the sovereign seat of the king of all twelve realms finally reached their doorsteps. Any warlord who sought to claim the potion town of Firmwood by political force just unexpectedly vanished, and none has ever been able to reach the isolated town. Many of those who entered the dense forest surrounding the isolated town were met with unnatural resistance from nature itself, as they were all poisoned and died along the way. The dead bodies of soldiers and emissaries from different warlords were dragged under the ground and became the nourishment of the blood tree.

The blood tree, a mysterious and deadly entity, thrived on the life force of those who dared to challenge its dominion. Legends whispered that the surrounding trees possessed dark magic created by the blood tree—a misunderstood idea that it was protecting the town and ensuring its isolation from the outside world—but the truth was far from what was really happening. In reality, the blood tree's dark magic was a malevolent force that sought to control and manipulate the town's inhabitants. It used its power to spread fear and paranoia, ensuring that no one would ever attempt to escape its grasp. The townspeople lived in constant doubt about what was happening around them.

This was the only way to regain more sustenance until it inflicted suffering and torture until they all begged for death in Firmwood, The blood tree was patient and took its time to spread all over the town. It was almost near its final goal. On this very day, two years after her death, the red moon will once again cast its lunar light on the land. With its energy, the blood tree can finally execute its plan.

Tonight's screams of suffering and immoral acts of the mind will consume all their sanity. The blood tree's roots will intertwine with the minds of the townspeople, corrupting their thoughts and driving them to commit unspeakable acts. As the red moon rises, its sinister influence will reach its peak, plunging Firmwood into a nightmarish abyss from which there is no escape.
