The pain still felt quite fresh in my mind, and that was probably why I found myself hesitating. "Are you not ready to find out?" the prince asked as if he could read my mind.
"I'm scared," I admitted straightforwardly.
"What are you scared of?" the prince asked, and I could tell this question was serious.
"Disappointment. To be honest, I'm a little scared of becoming pregnant as well because I've never gone through it before, so there's a certain sense of fear of the unknown. But if I could choose, I would rather face the unknown than face another disappointment about this matter," I said before chewing down on my lower lip.
"I'll be with you no matter what you decide. Also, there's no need for you to rush yourself," the prince reminded me again as he wrapped an arm around my shoulder.
"Let's do this. I'll get the test kit," I told the prince before my resolution would waiver.
