How could the universe do this to me?

What had I done in my life to deserve such treacherous actions?

Clearly the Greek gods were against me because I truly believed I was a good person. Yes, I had served Benedito feet for dinner and yes I had kept him up most of the night with my rambling, but he was the one who wanted me. Therefore he had to deal with me. 

I pressed my face against the window as I let out a groan. 

"Bobby, there's nothing we can do about it. Come back to bed," Dito sighed from behind me. 

"You don't understand how I feel," I stressed as I focused my eyes back to the stormy seas. 

Out of all the days! There was a flash storm the very morning I planned to explore the ancient ruins. We had so many plans for the day. What were the chances that a storm could suddenly roll up and decide to rain on my parade?
