Kapitel 11: Chapter 11 crooked Eva on action...
Here in the OR, Era was about to leave but Jenny was upset that everybody complimented her, so when David left the OR and the interns were about to start the closing up work, she interrupted them and make them leave and asked Era to do that,
she said
" Just because you assisted him, you can't be more than an intern, so learn to finish your work before leaving"
Her words were always Harsh so Era didn't want to reply, it was just a small task so she didn't mind completing it.
She silently completed her work there and left. Now she went straight to the changing room and changed her clothes and wrote a letter to Eva and then removed the coat.
Eva was back and she read the letter Era wrote for her. She was furious at Jenny because it was not her first time saying such Harsh words.
Era also wrote about how she behaved with her back then. It made Eva more frustrated. When she came out of her room, she saw Jenny going into another room to change her scrubs.
She decided to take revenge, so she locked her in the changing room thinking that Jenny needs to know how it is to be locked alone. When Jenny was done changing, she tried to open the door, but the door was locked she screamed for help, and Eva was standing there watching her.
She felt so good by doing so. It was like her anger was satisfied. Everybody returned to their work, so there was no one near the changing room, except Eva, but she was not in the mood to help her.
Jenny was frightened and kept screaming. When Eva heard someone coming there, she ran away from there. It was the cleaning staff, they heard someone shouting for help and opened the door. Jenny was so scared and almost started crying.
She was covered with sweat and went straight to her room and was thinking who did that to her. Eva enjoyed doing that as she was thinking of taking revenge.
She was laughing all the way, and accidentally bumped into Ben, she thought ...' not again ...why do I keep running into him??..' and was about to leave, but Ben held her hand and took her to the terrace. she was surprised, and followed him, thinking "what is with him?? where is he taking me..? did he see what I did ...oh no, he'll scold me,"
they were on the terrace now, he asked her to sit on the bench and said
"so let me ask you."
he was about to ask something but she started talking with her eyes closed
"sorry sir I am sorry I didn't intend to do so but ...I am sorry...it won't happen again ...sorry... sorry"
he tried to stop her
" shhh..shhh..."
but she didn't stop
" sorry sir"
.He left with no other option, he covered her mouth with his hands...
"stop ...just calm down.."
he said.
She was shocked..she kept her eye
wide open.
He came very near to her as if he was about to kiss her, and said
" you are going to listen to me right now...ok now I am removing my hand... and you have to listen to me silently...is that ok??"
she nodded her head saying yes. Her heart was racing..and she was in complete shock... she thought
"was he going to scold me or kiss me ....uh or is he going to ask me for a date... "
just thinking that made her blush, he smiled seeing her like that ...
"Are you fine now..can I say something now, ok actually I wanted to thank you on behalf of my patient, that was extraordinary for a first-year resident. I was impressed...and ya I do want to ask you ..why do you always run away seeing me ...do I look like a ghost or do you find me a freak ..what is it? "
Eva was surprised to hear that but she knows nothing about what happened in the ER in the morning...
she thought
"what he's thanking me for what...ya it might be Era ... oh this girl ...she didn't mention anything about this in her letter .. now what ...what should I tell him."
she was in her thoughts, Ben said
"hey what happened.. did I just scare you..are you fine..".
" no sir, I am fine... I just don't know what to say... I don't know how to get along with teachers.. so .."
Eva replied but before she could finish her talk Ben interrupted
" hey I am just a few years older than you ... just talk to me casually... it's ok to call me Ben when no one is around.... even I don't know how to talk to a girl".
Eva's fantasies start running ' what talk casually... and call him Ben.... oh I am sure he is hitting on me .... there were so many boys who followed me but I never gave them chance... but he is so cute and handsome. I think I can't resist... oh' Ben called her again
"hey..where are you"
she came back to her senses and said
" I'm fine...but I think I have to go, sir..oh sorry...but I prefer 'sir' over Ben, it makes me feel odd if I call you that "
she stood up and with a smile on her face she was about to leave, "do you have a boyfriend? "
he asked,
" no... sir... but I think it's a very personal question....let me make it clear sir... I hate boys who flirt with me.."
she said very clearly, he said
" ya I know ... you don't have one..right... then why do you keep running whenever you see me do you have any phobia "
When she heard the word ' phobia ' she was annoyed and came near to him and said
" what do you mean phobia.... ha.. so according to you, whenever I see you, I have to hug you or get attached to you... is it so? Mr. Ben."
This time Ben was shocked, and his eyes were wide open, he never felt something like this before... now he was speechless his heart started pondering,
Eva picked her things from the bench, said bye to him, and smiled annoyingly before leaving.
Ben kept staring at her for a while...and then left. Though Eva said those words she was scared,
she thought
" what did I just do...oh he was so close... but I was so cool I am sure he won't bump into me again... ha ha "
She went to David's office to give him the reports Era made, but he was not there, she took out her phone and called him, he picked up the phone and said
" come to the VIP ward"
as if he knows that she'll call him. When she went there and couldn't find him,
She started searching each room. when she was about to get into the last room, he suddenly came out of that room and stopped her from getting in.
She almost bumped into him.
"Can't you wait outside? ''
he said with an arrogant voice.
Eva kept silent for a while then handed over the report to him and said
"If there is nothing to do I would take my leave sir",
"Hmm," he said.
Eva went straight to the canteen to eat something, the man in the canteen asked
"Should I give you the same sandwich "
Eva said
"no I don't like sandwiches, I want my cake and coke".
He looked surprised at her and said " yes sure",
because the other day she insisted on taking the sandwiches, actually it was Era.
She took her cake and coke and sat on one of the tables there. After a few minutes, three of her colleagues came and sat at her table.
Eva looked at them strangely, as they were never so friendly to her but, after what happened in the morning, made Eva look like a hero so everybody started talking to her differently.
They started asking her about which books she prefers if she is interested in neurology.. what are her references etc those questions were above Eva's head, so she smiled at them and took things, and left calmly.
When she got out of the canteen, she saw Ben coming towards her and was about to turn around but she stopped and walked normally as if she was not scared.
Ben saw her attitude and smiled.. she silently stared at him while passing by, she was happy to show her attitude to him as if she succeeded in something. Ben kept smiling and went inside to grab something...he was happy that at least she wouldn't run away from him now.....
