89.18% Descent Of The Sword Hero / Chapter 32: Eclair Seaetto

Kapitel 32: Eclair Seaetto

Haaa~ The Shadow sighed in frustration looking at the mess, I had created back at the prison, where I had beat up half the guards and kidnapped a woman who didn't want to get kidnapped.

You know the usual stuff.

"Alright, what is going on here, and why did Sir Hero take me out of prison?" Eclair spoke as I was playing around with Reyna.

"Correction, I kidnapped you"

"Same thing"

"Haa?" Kelin looked at her confused, I just shook my head, there is nothing getting into her brain.

"I think the Shadow can explain, Oi! explain it." I spoke as the Shadow jumped down into the clearing.

"You are to help the Sword Hero Lady Seaetto, those are the orders of her majesty." The Shadow replied as Eclair looked at me.

"Welcome to the Party," I said, waving my hand. Eclair seemed to be troubled as she sighed.

"I understand, I will assist Sir Hero in fighting against the waves" Eclair finally spoke up as I looked at her.

Well good enough for now I guess though, I need to know her better to fully understand her.

I was just about to say something when I sensed a couple of mana signatures.

Two shadows dropped down carrying what looked like clothes and a sword.

"Wow you take such good care of your knights huh?" Arna spoke up as I could almost see the Shadows glare at her.

"Well better get changed fast, we are leaving soon. Both of you start moving your asses too" I ordered as they got to work, loading up the carriage while Eclair changed her clothes.

"Seems like your kingdom is in a lot of shit?" I said the Shadow looked at me clearly I was one of those things,

"Her Majesty has almost gotten things under control so you don't need to worry about it Sir Hero" the Shadow replied .

"Hmm anyway, how long does it take from people from Siltvelt to get to Melromac?" I asked as she looked confused.

"Around Two weeks if they travel fast."

"Good then get the message to Siltvelt that I want to meet the ones that had met me earlier, I will be in somewhere east or south by the time they get here. You will do that right, since your king tried to cause a scene," I spoke as the shadow nodded,

I smiled as Eclair had changed and we were ready to set off.

-Eclair POV-

'How could he be selected as the Sword hero? There isn't a single ounce of selflessness or sacrifice in this individual. He only cares about himself.'

Eclair sat at the back of the carriage looking at Adric, who was driving it. Arna, who was sitting beside her, was digging through some stuff to eat, while Kelin seemed to be taking care of the cat.

Eclair seemed to be staring intently at Adric who had beaten up the guards while taking her out of the prison.

He had none of the characteristics of a hero that she had been taught since she was a child, including how they fought for justice and how they would save people from evil.

She needed to get stronger, because currently she knew that there was no way she could oppose the two siblings, much less Adric, who had just beaten the guards with magic alone.

"You seem troubled," Kelin said as she looked at him.

"Of course I am, there was no need to beat the guards up while causing such a ruckus," Eclair spoke as both siblings just smiled.

"What should we have done according to you?" Kelin continued,

"He is a hero, he shouldn't use such methods; they were just doing their duty..." Eclair was arguing when Arna cut her off,

"....then the idiot sitting on that throne would hold them responsible..."

"T..that..but still there..." Eclair tried to find her way around as Adric coughed,

"Alright Three of you, That's enough. Arna and Klein, both of you make sure your fucking movements are perfect while Eclair would focus on increasing her level to match ours." Adric finally spoke as the three quietened out.

Eclair was just thinking about stuff, when she felt a nudge from Arna.

"Want some" she spoke offering her some baked goods that she had dug out of the bag.

"Oi That's mine!" Kelin jumped in as Arna scoffed,

"Fuck off"

The two sibling went straight back to arguing as Eclair looked at the odd group while Reyna walked up to her and jumped into her lap, purring lightly as the cub fell asleep.

"Hey why is she close to her already?" Arna spoke as Kelin just smirked.

"Well maybe because Eclair is actually good and not an evil bitch like you" His reply only intensified their argument, with insults being thrown around.

Eclair, who was sitting back, was all the more confused by what the hell was happening.

-Ivyred Territory-

"Dear are you sure about it?" The woman spoke as the man sighed deeply as he read the replies with the royal seal on them.

"What do they mean that they didn't find anything wrong?" The man spoke crushing the letter in his fist,

"Do we really have no choice, but if we raise the taxes anymore, the people would not accept them." The woman spoke, as she could almost hear the reaction from the people.

"Even the merchants are avoiding the territory." The man spoke, he held his head as the woman tried to comfort him.

They forgot about a green-haired girl standing just outside the door listening to the entire conversation

A creek from the floor boards alerted the two inside as the woman came out to find the girl standing with tears streaming down her face.

"Oh..Risha.." The woman hugged her as the girl cried.

"Mother..." Risha opened her eyes, finding herself in her room,

The town outside her window was silent due to the recent raids and burglaries. Many residents had left the town, escaping the tussle between the two nobles.

"Risha Come down for breakfast!" She heard her mother calling as Risha got out of her bed, her hair still messed up. She looked in the mirror as she put on her fake smile.

Hopefully, the situation will be resolved soon.
