Lucien wasn't as excited as she was before. She had even forgotten her nervousness when Efthalia had pointed out the tree where the lady died. She instead felt chills and goosebumps. The worst part was crossing the path where the plum tree stood.

She simply wanted to know why he had to suddenly bring out about someone's death particularly the place where it died.

The moment they reached the soft ground, she sighed in relief. The view of the sea was mesmerizing; the gentle waves would gently come and touch the sand and go back again.

The sound of the waves was louder and clearer; even the wind was much more stronger. However, it was pleasant. The sun was yet to set though it had already placed itself in the west. The chirping of the birds could even be heard.

Once she freed her hand from his arm, she removed her shoes which were a slipper, and let her foot sink to the soft warm sand. She smiled looking down at her barefoot walking on the sand.
