Kapitel 58: Hiatus Announcement
I find myself in the unfortunate situation of knowing exactly how this story is supposed to continue and not being able to muster any spirit to write it. I just can't seem to give a fuck about Juan and his adventures the same way I can't seem to give a fuck about Kiba's. I have both these stories planned out to their conclusion, but I've got no excitement for them.
While trying to figure out how to soldier on, I figured out what's wrong. For the last year I've been trying to write stories that have a chance at being popular, rather than stories that I would want to read. I kept going through the top list of fics trying to figure out what the fuck was going on. All the top fics were flooded with negative comments yet had hundreds and thousands of power stones and millions of views, while all my stories are absolutely positive in response from the audience, but struggle to get a million views.
Needless to say, my attempts to get popular succeeded moderately as my readers went from 3000 for Ultimate Krogan, to 7000 for this story, but along the way I started getting more and more down about why my stories weren't getting traction, and I damn near had a freak out when trying to think about A Warhammer Dwarf in Westeros.
It sounded popular, but I had no desire to write it. I kept trying to figure out how to hook a larger audience who would stick around for the stories I want to write, and it was driving me crazy.
So I spun my wheels in the mud for a month and said fuck it. I'm just going to start writing a story I want to write so I can get my mojo back, finish up Cyberpunk and Naruto, and move back to doing projects I want to do whether or not I get views.
I'm too damn tired all the time to be writing stories I don't want to read.
