Kapitel 432: The Silent Threat

Even though Drakar wasn't acting as he was expecting him to, Asher realized this only made him seem even more dangerous and cunning. He could guess Drakar was planning something which he didn't want to stay and find out.

But it didn't seem like he had a choice. After noticing the look in Drakar's eyes and hearing his words, he already got the hint that Drakar wasn't going to accept a refusal, and if he resisted now, then things could get really bad.

With him being temporarily crippled, the best thing to do was buy some time.

Asher masked his underlying caution with a diplomatic smile, "Thank you for your generous offer, King Drakar. It would be my pleasure to attend the celebration," he responded, his tone carefully neutral yet courteous.

Drakar's smile widened in response. He clapped his hands together, commanding immediate attention and silence from the surrounding crowd.
