Jayde’s whole body twitched from the shock it had received, her nerve endings screaming in pain as her muscles contorted. Her mouth gaped in like a fish as she gasped for breath, eyes wide on the bars as tears trailed down her cheeks. The twitching slowly stopped and her chest heaved with sobs. She lifted her hand to inspect where it had actually touched the metal. There was a burn on the palm of her hand that stretched from one side to the other. It had even gone into the space between her thumb and forefinger, making it impossible to close her hand.
She winced and cradled her hand against her chest as she slowly and shakily made it back to her feet. If left in this cell, or if all the cells she was put in had electric bars, she definitely wouldn't be escaping on her own. Jayde hoped that the person who had kidnapped her would give her the opportunity to curse him to his face.
