Kapitel 11: Chapter 11: Wounds and Tears

I stood up, avoiding looking at Aiden while walking towards Max. I felt sick to my stomach and my head was exploding.

I stood in front of him trying to hold on to my determination if it was still there.

"Let's sit down," he said with a straight tone. His friends walked away and even left the restaurant. Max looked around to find an empty table near us. He pointed with his head to the left.

The table was positioned in a way where Aiden and the others could see us both which made me even more nervous if I could be. My need for hiding wasn't special to them, I wanted to hide from everyone else in the world at the moment.

I felt Aiden's eyes hot on my back, reaching out to me and trying to pull me back to him. But it was too late for me to go back, there was someone in front of me who I had to deal with, once and for all.

Max's ocean eyes were locked onto mine. I wanted to look away, but they were too captivating, filling me with our good memories.
