Kinsley’s POV
Lucas yanks me away from my horrendous father and his snarling, grumpy wolf. I hold my arm to my chest, watching Terron mid-shift, already prepared to kill my father at the first sign of trouble.
Everything is hazy, my head spinning as my mate and my father circle one another to duel. Lucas continues pulling me from the scene, my legs only taking me so far before my knees knock and I fall back into the grass.
The beta and my mate’s warriors all make sure to keep a close distance around me, the tension in this field rising as the biting threats between Alphas only grow more and more aggressive.
Looking down at my arm, the fresh, crimson cut from my wrist to my inner elbow, I feel so stupid for trying to give my father yet another chance to prove how evil he is.
I just wanted to give him a chance at redemption but instead, I’m stuck with a domineering and dangerous man who couldn’t care any less about his daughter. He doesn’t deserve redemption.
