At Armis's words, Basileus couldn't help the rage that overcame him. She wasn't doubting him but the emperors who took over instead of him. In her doubt was doubt towards the woman he loved and he couldn't stand it.
To scare her into submission, he grabbed an empty chair and threw it across the room. Its crash echoed through the room and he let go a sigh, trying to calm himself before he did anything else.
Despite how much of his aura he had used before, it seemed he was still a caged beast waiting for an opportunity to be released.

He knocked her out for a second time, the side of his hand to the base of her neck.
Basileus left the room knowing they wouldn't hear anything else from her for a while. He stepped into a bathroom on the way up to the ship's control room and he washed his face with cold water.
