A month just passed by without getting a chance to see her husband's face the entire time. She was truly thought of as an unwanted wife now. She could hear some of the maids whispering about it.

Althea was wide-eyed when she heard something outrageous.

"Poor Madam, Marquess Claudius already went to his mansion without taking her with him. It's already blowing up in the city that she was indeed unwanted," one of the maids said.

"After all, no matter how pretty the madam is, our lord can no longer see so he wouldn't what she looks like. How would he like her without even seeing her face once," a second added.

"Right? I heard they first met at their wedding so they have never seen each other," a third joined in.

'He left me here in the castle?' Althea frowned. 'That bastard?! How could he live his wife behind? What would they think of my family now?!'
