-flashback-
"Five, six, seven, eight!"
Today is Class A's first day of practice. Bae Yoon-jeong (dance mentor) came to their practice room to teach the dance and monitor their progress.
"Jay! That's not it! You need to move faster. You're too slow!" The dance trainer yelled.
He made them repeat the dance again.
"Jay! Only you are not able to match the beat of the song! You were so bad, your fellow trainees are suffering!" Bae Yoon-jeong scolded Jay once again.
Jay's eyes watered. He moved back to hide his tears. He felt frustrated that only him was messing up and causing trouble for his classmates.
"What? Why? Why are you crying? Haven't you learned the choreography yesterday during your free time?" Bae Yoon-jeong asked.
"I.. I'm sorry... I tried learning it but it's hard."
"But you danced well during the grade evaluation. What happened to you?"
"I did well that time because I already know the song and we practiced it a lot."
"Haaa.. this won't do. At this point you'll be moved down by ranks." Bae Yoon-jeong rubbed her temples.
Wooin raised his hands. "Uhm... teacher, may I teach him? If that's fine with Jay-shi of course."
"Huh? Are you sure? But you will lose time for your own practice." Wooin nodded as an answer. "Okay. Are you fine with it, Jay?" She asked Jay.
"A-Ah yes.."
"Teacher, may I join them?" Jiwoo asked.
"Suit yourself." Bae Yoon-jeong allowed. "There's a spare room beside your canteen. The space is small but that will do since there will only be three of you there. Here's the key."
Wooin, Jiwoo, and Jay went outside while their classmates continued learning the choreography from their dance trainer.
"Jay-hyung, which are the parts that you're messing up?" Jiwoo asked when they finally reached the room.
"I can do the first verse just fine but I keep messing up the step in the chorus."
"At this part, do it like this~" Jiwoo demonstrated the step.
"Haa.. don't you think he would understand more if you also tell him how to move?" Wooin sighed. "Jay-hyung, during that part, bring your right foot and left hand out at the same time.."
Wooin thought that the problem is not about Jay being unable to Jay follow the steps when Bae Yoon-jeong was teaching them. Wooin theoretherize that Jay is one of the people who learns through verbal teaching. So Wooin tried explaining the steps to Jay. And thankfully, he was right.
Wooin's verbal teaching combined with Jiwoo's demonstration, Jay was able to progress a lot.
"Should we take a break? It's already past 12 o'clock and I'm pretty sure you two are already starving." Jay suggested. Although he wanted to practice more, he couldn't just let Wooin and Jiwoo skip lunch.
They went to the canteen and found Gangseok, Jisuk, and Chanwoo eating together.
After getting their food on the service counter, the three of them joined the other three.
Wooin introduced Chanwoo and Jay to each other. After that, they had a harmonious lunch.
After eating, Wooin, Jiwoo, and Jay continued their practice until dawn.
At the end of the day, Jay finally learned the choreography and danced perfectly. It was all thanks to the effective teaching style of Wooin and Jiwoo. Jay thanked them and promised to return the favor if given the opportunity.
-end of flashback-
"Considering that DAWN did not receive any professional training yet, Wooin and Jiwoo did a great job teaching. Jay's really lucky that the two helped him. I mean, we all agree that Jay improved a lot right?" Bae Yoon-jeong said.
The other mentors nodded in agreement.
"Now then, shall we continue? Next up, we have Kang Jiwoo, an independent trainee."
"The only one to steal you is me~" Kang Jiwoo sang.
[correct lyrics: Me who only waited for you."
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The mentors burst out laughing. Even the staff who is there to film them can't help but laugh.
"The lyric change is making me crazy. Kekekekekekekekekekekeke"
"The most funny thing is, he confidently sang it and didn't even realize that he sang the wrong lyrics. He was so serious. Oh my god hahahahahahahaha."
"I can't believe that the main dancer of DAWN can sing better than most main vocalist. I mean, isn't DAWN a perfect package at this point? Why haven't they debuted yet when each one of them is basically an all-rounder."
"Right? Kang Jiwoo's vocals are stable even with him dancing powerfully. Though he should work on with memorizing the song's lyrics first. HAHAHAHA."
"I think they wanted to show their skills here so that they will receive offers from entertainment companies. They cannot debut without the help of entertainment companies after all."
"This is Choi Gangseok's video performance." Lee Seung-gi (mc) played the video.
"Ohh he changed the tone."
"He matched the song to his voice."
The mentors commented as they heard Gangseok's singing. Instead of reaching the high notes, he sang it lowly, matching his deep and husky voice. The mentors smiled because Gangseok is innovative, creative, and is not afraid of failing. Unlike the other rappers on Class A who tried desperately to reach the high notes which made their performance bad, Gangseok thought of a solution to fit the song despite his baritone voice.
"Now this is the last video from Class A. Kang Wooin from DAWN." Lee Seung-gi said.
"There's no more to say... he aced it."
"He has this outstanding charm. He has the best visual and he knows how to use it."
"Right? I almost fell in love with him haha."
"I can see no other center aside from him. I just know that he will do well as the center."
"And, he has good leadership skills. He can also produce music that is out of this world."
"Yeah. He will definitely be the trend setter of kpop music industry."
"I'm looking forward to what DAWN can show us throughout this program."
The mentors then watched Class B's performance video.
"Ohhh. As expected from a main dancer. Lee Hajin is doing great."
"The singing is a bit disappointing.." The dance mentor commented.
The next video played...
"His skills are average.." A mentor commented while watching Jung Chanwoo's video.
"Are you sure?" A mentor smirked.
"What? Why?"
"Look at his application paper. He has only been training for 6 months. And he can already perform a complete song better than trainees who trained for years. I think he has a lot of potential."
"Oh? Interesting..."
"But placing him in A is a bit.."
*Class Assignments after Reevaluation*

Jung Chanwoo (Class B -> Class B)
Lee Hajin (Class B -> Class B)
-----
Wooin was deep in thoughts. Two trainees from Class B are currently seated with them in their practice room.
He expected that the other two trainees who practiced with them will be replaced. But he did not expect that Lee Hajin and Jung Chanwoo will not be promoted to A.
He is actually looking forward to being in the same practice room as the two.
'This just doesn't make sense. How are they evaluating us? Lee Hajin-hyung and Jung Chanwoo is clearly better than these two.' Wooin thought, couldn't accept that the two was not promoted. His mood went sour.
'Just wait for me.' He just sighed and thought that there will be more chances for them to rise up ranks.
Jay and Chanwoo became their friends. The two of them are always together with DAWN during their breaks and they eat together. Trainees envy the two for that.
'What's left is Lee Hajin-hyung.' Wooin was unable to help Hajin during the first mission as they focused on Jay. So he felt a little guilty.

Meanwhile, the first episode of PRODUCE 105 has been aired in the national television. It covered the grade evaluation stage of the trainees. However, the director of the show only chose the performances who he thinks will get them more views.
Those are grade evaluation of the trainees from the big companies, he also included some of the worst performances so that the show will not be boring. The highlight of the first episode is of course, DAWN.
DAWN's appearance on the show made waves online. Continuous praises for them arose and even took the number 2 spot in the trending tweets.
A lot of people are demanding for the song "Monster" and "Let go" that DAWN used in their grade evaluation to be released as a digital audio. And many also expressed that if possible, they make a practice video of the songs.
However, their wishes were fulfilled not long after with a post in DAWN's official WeTube channel. The post was accompanied by a message.
