Both men did not charge blindly at each other, but rather closed the gap between each other cautiously.

Max took the initiative to make the first move as he used energy blast to launch a mid-ranged attack. 

Eden lunged to his left to avoid the blast but Max took the opportunity to close in the gap between the two of them as he used [ Overhead Slash ] to try and hit Eden on his temple. 

*SHINGGG* 

Eden had to use both his swords to block Max's attack as the sheer power behind Max's strike made him buckle to one knee.

A kick straight to his chest forced Eden to do a backroll as he lost the first chunk of his HP before staggering back to his feet. 

" Max draws the first blood, Eden seems to struggle with his superior power" the commentator announced as the earthlings gave this exchange their roaring approval.
