Wesley stayed at home for three months, and the new year arrived. Phil Coulson suddenly called him.
Wesley answered the phone awkwardly. Although the two of them had a good relationship, it sounded a little scary for someone who had died to call him. Phil Coulson seemed very excited because he had been promoted to an eighth-level agent and could also form his own special agent team. Moreover, he had a base modified by a large plane and could move around the world freely.
Nick Fury was really generous. There was no precedent for such a plane to be assigned to a team, and the personnel was selected by him. Nick Fury also told Phil Coulson that Wesley was willing to help him and knew that the team would leave when it matured. After all, Wesley was not an ordinary level seven agent. He could not stay in this team permanently. With Wesley, the team's combat strength rose directly.
Phil Coulson called Wesley on the first call. Wesley was a little uncomfortable answering the phone, but he was happy. After all, life is better than anything.
After packing his equipment and luggage, Wesley said goodbye to his family and set off. This time, he did not drive. He left his car at home and took a plane to SHIELD headquarters.
"Hey, Wesley, it's good to see you again. I didn't expect to continue to live." Phil Coulson was excited to see Wesley.
"I am also very happy to see you alive. This time, the director has put in a lot of effort. You are the only one in SHIELD." The two of them hugged.
"Yes, it's indeed rare, but I'm also very confident that I can finally compete with Hydra. We have to hit them hard, or I'll die in vain. I died for more than 40 seconds."
"I heard it was only eight seconds!" Wesley chatted with him.
Phil Coulson picked Wesley up at the airport and drove him directly to a secret airport. This was where SHIELD was located. A huge black plane was parked outside the hangar. People came and went here, all busy moving things to the plane.
"How is it? This will be our mobile base from now on."
"Not bad, but I like your car. Are you sure you want to fly around with it?" Wesley looked at the car he had just made.
Phil Coulson touched his beloved car lovingly. "Laura is really great, and she can fly. I decided to give myself a little change and be more handsome. After all, I've already died once, right?"
"Well, don't always have to die once. Now, shall we go up and take a look? Or should I put the luggage directly in the room?"
"Of course, your luggage is placed directly in the room number. Although the room is a little smaller, the rest of the room is very spacious." Phil Coulson led the way and Wesley walked up. This place is similar to the layout in American dramas, but there is a big visual difference between seeing the real thing and the TV.
The rooms were all on the left and right sides. There was a single bed, a closet, and a bookshelf. However, the arrangement was relatively tight and the space was very small. After Wesley put down his luggage, he briefly packed. All his clothes were hung in the closet, and then there was only a laptop. There was nothing else. The weapons were all in the internal space, and he only had two pistols.
"Not bad. Although it's a little small, the bed is very comfortable. There's actually a bar counter. I think I can borrow it from my private plane in the future."
"This is difficult. You can learn from the inside, but the overall performance is very difficult. This plane has six rotatable engines and can take off and land vertically. Except for SHIELD, there is generally no such technology."
"Hehe, don't say no. As long as Tony and I study it, we will have it. This pair can't hold us. Okay, what are we going to do next?"
"We also need team members, three team members. In a while, you and I will go to the headquarters to invite someone, and then ask Maria Hill for two technicians. Then I can set off. Recently, because of the Avengers, an organization emerged. They call themselves 'Tide Rising'. This organization's hacking skills are not bad, and they have released some videos of your past. You can take a look at them."
"Okay, let's go. How about I drive?"
"If it were anyone else, it would be impossible, but you have no problem." Phil Coulson threw the keys at Wesley and the two of them got into the car and left. Wesley doesn't know much about cars now. Just looking good is enough, but driving this car now feels completely different.
As they sped along, Phil Coulson praised, "Your driving skills are really good."
"Yeah, but my flying skills are terrible."
The two of them drove into S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. There was no change here, and there was no hostility.
Maria Hill was now in charge of many things. For the past three months, the two of them had not contacted each other at all. One accompanied her family and the other was busy with work. However, after meeting, the two of them were not embarrassed at all.
"Hey, Maria, do you want to have dinner tonight?" Wesley directly invited her.
"Sorry, Wesley. Not today. I've been too busy."
Wesley shrugged. "It always shames me to see your work ethic."
Phil Coulson said, "Hill, how are the two technicians?"
"It's been selected, but one of the women hasn't passed the combat assessment." Hill handed over the information.
Phil Coulson looked at it and then said, "It doesn't matter. I think this girl is not bad. She is excellent in her professional field. As for other aspects, we can teach her. Now let's invite a driver."
Wesley followed her out and exchanged a vague look with Maria Hill. He understood that he had to show sympathy and helplessness for Phil Coulson's situation while keeping the secret. However, Wesley knew that he would find out eventually. The key was whether he could accept it.
All the way to a civilian office, Phil Coulson shouted, "Agent May!"
"No." The woman who was working responded with a clear refusal.
The two men were obviously familiar with each other. Wesley stood to one side and listened to their conversation, but it wasn't very interesting, because Melinda May had already accepted the mission to monitor Phil Coulson's situation, and it had been arranged by Nick Fury.
Sure enough, the level-seven agent with the code name "Knight" had joined Phil Coulson's team. Now that all five of them had been found, all that was left was to gather.
