Kapitel 36: Restructure Governance

Now that I told my future plans and ways to take down Ancorna to Lily, I am done with dealing with Conley politics for now.

So let's think about restructuring the government system in Jola, right now what we have here is just a makeshift system keeping everyone alive but for Jola to be a real kingdom, we need a proper order and structure.

Right now everyone just gets food in exchange for their work everyday meaning it's a very primitive system because we haven't started printing money yet we can't start a capitalist society but it won't take before we can. So I need to think of a government system.

Right now Aria is with mother and Lily, I don't really know what they are doing but we'll it's good that they are getting along as I was thinking this I said

"Aria bring up Government types and history behind them"

(Sure Darling) I hear her voice in my head, that's right I can communicate with her anything I want and I can summon her near my 5 meter radius too [she can also teleport to me on her own will] but the problem is her clothes don't teleport with her nor any item she is hold so it's pretty much useless unless I bring her to my bed- cough cough stop. Focus

She can also disappear by going to a dimension where space time doesn't exist[she showed me this the first time she appeared] but the same problem is that she can't take anything with her.

"Thanks Aria, are you guys enjoying your time together?"

(Yeah we just went to check on the greenhouse, your mother was very fascinated by it. Well Lily took a detour at the knights training ground outside the city to learn how to use crossbows and siege weapons.)

"Ha expected of her well enjoy yourself"

(Yeah sure and you take care take breaks in between while reading information)

"Yeah I will"

With that I started reading up on different types of governance systems, history behind them, effects and how efficient each one is.

The first one I looked up was Monarchy, it was the most commonly used system in this world. It's basically a king or a queen ruling with absolute power and everyone else being their subject.

The second one was Oligarchy, which was commonly used in the past on earth (I don't know about this world). It's basically a small group of people with power ruling the country.

The third one was Republic, it was also used in the past but not as commonly as the first two. It's basically a system where everyone has a say in the government and the government is elected by the people.

The fourth one was Democracy, it's the same as the Republic but with a few differences. It's basically a system where everyone has a say in the government and the government is elected by the people. The main difference is that in a Democracy the leader is elected by the people and in a Republic the leader is elected by the government.

The fifth and final one was Dictatorship, it was also used in the past but not as commonly as the first four. It's basically a system where one person has all the power and everyone else is their subject.

I don't really know which one would be best for Jola, they all have their pros and cons. I'll have to think about this some more.

But for now, I need to get some sleep, it's been a long day.

I fell asleep in my study.

When I woke up the sun was already gone in the sky. I got up and stretched. When I saw Aria sleeping on the sofa, I could easily tell she was really tired after touring the whole day. So I took a blanket out of a cabinet and gently covered her with it and sat on my chair and started writing.

Back to the present

I've been thinking about what system to use for Jola and I still don't know. I think it would be best to have a combination of different government structures.

The Monarch will be the head of the government placed at the highest position under him will be "Councils" governing different aspects of the government. Each Council's heads will be elected by members of the respective councils. Each individual at the age of 16 in the kingdom will be a member of one or other council such as a example ' a food production company owner or office work is member of a food & safety council' or 'A accountant in an office will be member of Administration Council' criteria for joining a council or determining who can and can't join a council will be done by a separate entity 'Elective Committee' made up by members voted by the council heads and royal family.

Monarch is to order each Council for their respective tasks for the country to develop and lead it in a direction. The Council can't refuse the orders given by the monarch but they can send it back for re-evaluation if it's not feasible or it violates the law.

The Monarch is selected by the council members (the whole population of the kingdom) by voting on the next eligible royal family candidates. It means only the royal family can be Monarch, and no other person is supposed to inherit that Position other than royal members. In simpler words if I step down from being the king my children will have equal right to inherit the position however I can't decide who it will be only the Council members will be able to decide by voting.

The Council can remove the Monarch from his/her position by requesting the elective committee with a reasonable issue for which the Elective Committee will select a new monarch from the new eligible Royal family candidates for next election. This situation is also true voice versa where the monarch can request removal of a specific individual from a council which or the council heads for a reasonable reason to the Elective Committee.

The Council will increase as the need for new council ignites, requests for formation of new Council can be brought up by council heads, Monarch and Elective Committee.

I would have to do a meeting with everyone to expand upon this system tomorrow.

As I thought that and lifted my head from the books I saw Aria standing in front of me watching me…

"How long have you been there" I asked

"Don't know there aren't any clocks so how would I know"

She does have a logic. I guess I should make clocks in the future.

"Don't even think about researching clocks tonight" she said with a glare

"I am not, I already have a lot on my plate" as I said that I stood up and took Aria's hand.

"So you are finished for today, right we can go to our room right?"

"Yeah let's go" with that, me and Aria both left the stud. It's already midnight but who cares I will wake up late tomorrow after having some fun with Aria tonight.

`Ancorna Empire: Capital City Imperial Palace`

Anna Ewan experienced psychological trauma after watching her brother kill all of her supporters. She felt betrayed, alone, and scared.

The philosophers that Landon killed were actually all her supporters; she made up a lie to keep them out of Landon's eyes but it was not effective. She is literally alone right now after all her love, her precious brother Eli was killed by James then he was killed by her father for the crime but after that he himself died in an attack from a rebellion which Landon suppressed and became the emperor.

But she knew that was all bullshit. She knew that her father was led into a trap by Conley but He should have survived but because Landon played his tricks to bring Alec's personal guards away from him, He died.

How did she know? Well Jaren sent her a message. Eli and Jaren were close friends so Anna believed what the letter said and brought all her supporters to the palace to plan Landon's downfall but she never thought he would be steps ahead of her.

While she was feeling depressed and alone a western bird flew in through a window and left a message paper and flew away.

[Dear Anna,

I hope this letter finds you well. I have been thinking about you a lot lately, and I believe that you would make an excellent shepherd for our Farm. I know that you have the strength and the intelligence to lead our sheep to a better future.

I know you are interested in becoming the next shepherd, I would be more than happy to support you. I believe that together we could make the farm truly great and have our revenge against the true criminal of Black Sheep's murder.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

After she read the letter she burnt it, she had an idea who sent this letter but there was no instructions on how to send a reply which confused her.

Even so she was more interested in what the letter said the true culprit of black Sheep's murder? Her blood boiled as soon as she remembered those words, all this time she only has a suspicion but now it confirmed it after all Conley has the biggest information network in the continent so when the letter said true culprit of the black sheep she knew that it was talking about the real culprit who killed Eli and that was Landon, she only had her suspicion but now with this letter she confirmed it. Even tho the letter never confirmed it, it only told her that the killer was not James so of course it would be Landon he is the only one who would benefit from it while it's true that Eugene could too but he is with Conley and he sent her the letter asking her to be the queen so there is no need for him to kill Eli if he wanted her to take the throne that was how she concluded that Landon killed Eli, she thought that's the reason why the letter pointed out that topic or else there is no reason to bring it up in the letter.

Now that her suspicion has been confirmed she will do whatever to take Landon down.

But what she doesn't know is that the new scheme Eugene came up with to take over Conley through Anna because the Cat and Kitten operation is nullified now that he is staying in Jola.

`Jola, Inside the meeting room`

The room was large and very brightly lit. The walls were painted a light blue, and the floor was covered in a dark blue carpet. There were several rows of chairs, and a large table in the center of the room.

Today a meeting to reform Jola's Government system will take place.
