Kapitel 8: Tears

Their hands intertwined with warmth and energy that ran through their skin. A tightness burst when Abel saw the person she loved so much that he had to lie helpless in the hospital.

The atmosphere of the VVIP stay in one of the hospitals became Abel's sight tonight; she reached into his bag to take the phone to tell Airlangga about the incident that had happened to them both.

The phone is ringing, waiting for an answer from the owner of the call.

"Hello?" said Abel when she heard Airlangga pick up the call, and then without further commotion, she immediately told everything.

So, shortness of breath caused by asthma flared up due to his mounting anger due to his sister making Alex unable to control himself.

Seeing that Alex was like that made Abel take quick action; she immediately stopped Alex, took his place to drive the car, and immediately went to the hospital.

Less than two minutes after Abel told the incident, Airlangga's response was just as normal as if it wasn't an incident that made him panic. He ordered Abel to look after his brother.

"What? What's wrong with these brothers?"

After calling Airlangga, Abel immediately went into the room and still saw that Alex had not woken up yet, so he had to stay in the hospital.

"Sorry," said Alex when he saw Abel was fast asleep beside him with his head in his hands.

He did not expect that the secretary who had only worked with him for three days was willing to keep him in the hospital; while staring blankly at the ceiling of the VVIP room, Alex was pensive.

For a moment, the contents of his head brought Alex to the sadness he had felt since he was a teenager. His brother's ego makes his relationship with Alex damaged.

When Alex was in high school, and Airlangga was still in junior high, his father died from heart disease and asthma, which he had suffered for a long time. His father's death is grief for them; on the other hand, there is also a shadow about how Alex must replace his father's role because he is the eldest brother in his family.

All went well; Alex did his role as brother and father to his younger brother and became a more devoted son to his mother. However, all that was lost when his father's heir attorney announced the division of inheritance for his wife and children.

Airlangga did not accept that his brother has given a high position in his father's parent company; he was furious and furious until there was an attempt to harm his brother. Alex, who didn't understand what he should act like, could only stay silent and try to explain everything adequately but was not accepted either.

Finally, Airlangga decided to go to college in Uncle Sam's country and stay away from his brother, Alex, while hoping that his sister could open her mind, but it didn't change either.

Suddenly Abel felt his hand cramping from holding his arm holding his head. Abel looked at the clock on the wall with his eyes still wide; he saw it was three in the morning.

"It's 3 in the morning, and I haven't delivered the news to the house!" Abel muttered as his hands searched for his cell phone.

Alex grabbed Abel's hand when he felt a movement next to him. His hands seemed to signal Abel to stay by his side while grimacing slightly in pain.

"Where are you going, Gabriella?"

Abel immediately explained himself as wanting to make a phone call to his parents and tried to calm his boss with his words.

"I want to go out for a while, sir. It won't be long," said Abel wrapped with a beautiful smile.

A nurse had brought breakfast to Alex's room with some sweet cakes in it. Abel quickly helped Alex sit down to prepare the breakfast that had just arrived, a portion of chicken porridge, a pear, some wine, and a pie.

"Good morning, sir. The breakfast has come; let me help," said Abel.

On the other side was Alex watching his secretary, her bare face still radiating her beauty, her lips turning paler from the fading lipstick, and her messy hair still catching her attention.

"Unlucky. This woman is stunning whether she has makeup on or not!" Alex muttered in his heart.

After he finished bribing his boss, Abel immediately said goodbye to go home and went straight to the office.

"I have called your assistant to accompany you here. Meanwhile, I have permission to go home and immediately go to the office to do the work that was neglected yesterday," said Abel in a hoarse voice because he had just woken up.

Alex glanced at Abel, standing and looking down in front of him as if he didn't want to take his eyes off him. Without realizing it, Abel's eyeballs were getting brighter, and his hair was messy and dangled as his head moved.

"Well. I'll call my private driver to take you home," Alex answered, making Abel roll his eyes.

"No need, sir. I can use car services online or by public transportation."

Without listening to Abel's answer, Alex immediately called his private driver to go to the hospital. Abel can only surrender because he refuses, even though it will only be in vain.

"I called Airlangga last night to provide news regarding your condition," Abel explained.

Alex just stood there without any response.

Abel had gone into the bathroom after almost all day yesterday, not cleaning himself. The hot water that came from the shower made his body relax a little with all the tension that was going on; under the running water, Abel was pensive while thinking about what would happen if Alex found out that he was the person he had rejected his love for in a high school? Remembering Alex's good treatment of him made Abel, who originally wanted to take revenge more cruelly, melt away.

Especially seeing his behavior yesterday in the parking lot, is Alex jealous of him? It was something that Abel had never thought of. If his suspicions were true that Alex wanted him and tried to distance himself from Airlangga, he would not want revenge.

"But how do you know if this conjecture is true or not?" muttered Abel while frowning.

The phone ringing on his cell phone broke Abel's daydream; it could be seen on the screen that Airlangga's name had been called him almost five times.

"What is it?"

Seeing Airlangga's name, Abel had an idea to find out if Alex was interested in him or not. He will use Airlangga, a man who is a basket case, to attract Alex's attention.

"Good idea, Abel," he said, praising himself in front of the mirror.
