As the Vampire took out a Magic Item, I quickly shot towards him as fast as I could, as did Izzy, but we were too slow to react...he activated it well before we could reach him, casting a massive barrier around the surrounding area.

I took out the nullifying Magic Item and activated it, but it was no use, the barrier remained intact. Damn, I guess Lumena's efforts didn't pay off, after all...oh, well, no point in agonizing over it, we'll just have to make do without it!

I then unleashed pressurized jets of flames from the soles of my feet to put on a sharp burst of speed, before whipping my blades across at the back of his neck as I closed in on him.
