"Maybe that's Ava!" I flew into the direction the voice came from. Because I didn't want to risk anything Landed behind a few bushes but let's just say it was everything but quiet. "Is there somebody?".
As I peeked trough the bushes I saw a girl. She had long white hair and wore clothes that looked like it came straight out of How to train your dragon. I would call it a dragon rider suit but without the dragon parts. "Maybe she doesn't have a dragon?" I asked myself. But at the same time something inside of me said that this girl's behavior resembled the behavior of someone else I knew.
I decided to reveal myself and walked out of my hiding place. The girl stumbled back and fell on the ground. I didn't want to scare her so I just sat down and looked at her. After a few seconds the girls expression switched to excitement. "Are you a real dragon?" She asked.
"Strange for people who live in a world full of dragons to have never seen a dragon." i thought. "or maybe she lived in like a hidden village" I tried to find a solution for that. As I turned my attention back to her i saw something that looked very familiar to me. "Looking away, check, stretching out her open hand, check. jep that's definitely Hiccup's taming move." i thought.
"It can't be bad to have someone helping me for now" I thought but instead of putting my snout in her palm I licked her hand making her flinch back but then laugh. "Let's be friend from now on" She held her hand out completely ignoring the fact that I didn't have a hand. But I tried to put my paw in her hand anyway which ended up looking quite funny I think. At last she laughed because there was no tomorrow.
"It look like it's going to rain!" she said as she looked up to the sky. "I saw a cave back there do you want to come with me?" She asked and I nodded in agreement. As we arrived there, there was already a pile of firewood and something that looked like failed attempt to light a fire.
Without thinking I shot a small plasma blast at the pile and it started to burn. "Thank you!" She said as she sat down next to the fire warming herself up. I lied down a few meters next to her.
"i think I need to give you a name" The girl said. "i think I'm going to call you Ruby from now on ok?" For me it was quite the coincidence that she wanted to call me by my real name but a few seconds later she said something that I didn't expect.
"You know, my childhood friend was called ruby but one evening while watching our favorite film I just blacked out and then I was out here. I searched for her but I didn't find her" She said looking down at the floor.
As I heard that my brain stopped working for a few seconds until I realized who was sitting next to me. "Ava it's me!" I tried to say but she looked at me. For her my words were just growls. i tried it in a different way. I pointed at her and then at me with my paw. "Shall I help you with something?" She didn't get it.
I tried it again pointing at me then at her and then at me again "Shall I give you another name?" I shook my head. "So what is wrong with the name Ruby." I pointed at me again. "Did you meet her?" She asked me in excitement but I shook my head again before pointing at me again.
"Do you want to say YOU ARE Ruby?" She asked and I nodded. "How the fuck did that happen to you?!" She screamed as she jumped at me and hugged me. "Well I guess you can fly now wherever you want" She said laughing. Then she looked at me. "But I am stuck here" She said.
Then she looked at me and I immediately got the message and nodded in agreement. She hugged me once again. "Thank you Ruby!" She screamed.
