Kapitel 88: Trial of the Heart 1
"Haruka, clear the room, please. And have someone bring me my tools."
"Yes, mistress."
"Oh, but before you go..."
[Purifying Fire]
Himeko waved her hand, and a ring of green flame encircled Fleur. Its heat spread and enveloped Haruka in a blaze before sinking into her body. Then with another wave, the ring of flame around Fleur disappeared.
"Thank you, mistress."
Soon after Haruka left the room, one of the attendants from earlier came and set down a tray before taking her leave. On top of it was a pipe like the one Himeko had used before. Only this one was made of blue crystal and looked extremely valuable.
"What was that you did earlier?" Fleur asked.
"I severed the connection that was influencing Haruka."

Tasty_Dragon Sorry for the lack of uploads last week, friends. A bunch of stuff came up that I had to take care of. By the time I finished, I had missed two days of chapters, so I decided to just take the week off and start fresh Monday. Maybe it was for the best, though, because I was struggling a bit with how I wanted to do this trial.
Today's chapter is on the shorter side. I'm a bit sleep-deprived at the time of writing this, so I hope that is okay.
