" Are you going to keep watching this meaningless fight?"
A shrill voice of a woman whispered something to the boy's ears. She was eager to tempt and control this boy, yet he showed no sign of desire or emotions except for his goal.
The boy was a young tall handsome man with dark hair. Unlike desert warriors, he was smooth white and his face was clear as the oasis in the desert.
" I don't know. Maybe I will help her since she isn't ready yet."
He looked at his shadow and whispered his words to it. The eerie shadow wriggled under his shade, trying to hide away its existence from the scorching sun.
" My kins are rude and barbaric fellows. I don't understand why they are going this far to get to the end. There will be nothing except for emptiness."
The shadow said while getting up from the ground and materializing itself. It turned into a woman's silhouette and hugged the boy from behind.
Heavy obsession could be felt through her lingering tone as she caressed his back. Boling desire of hers couldn't be tamed except for this boy who kept the balance.
" You talk too much. You aren't a Saint either. Maybe you were a god in the past, but now you are just my tool to enacting my judgment."
The boy said, turning back to face this shadow. His cold black eyes locked on the red eyes that were silently savoring his life. Although the boy was strong and compatible with this fallen, he knew it is either him or her in the end.
" Relax, I don't like to ruin my desire that easily. Besides, we don't know the future since we killed the God of fate in our last war."
The woman bragged about her glory in the past, remembering the howls of Gods whom she had known in the past. She recalled the taste of their despair and rage.
" Such a pervert you are. I will help her, but can you guarantee that your kins wouldn't mind it?"
The boy spoke while looking into her eyes with amusement. He was teasing this old woman and scratching her pride.
The shadow hugged her body with delight as she breathed heavily under his gaze. She felt something coming through her body.
" Ah, it feels great. As expected we are the best partners. I don't mind whether he is my kin or not if you deliver his blood to me. All I need is some excitement and you."
The woman commented on her thoughts on the matter with an intoxicated tone. Heavy ragged breaths were escaping from her voice as she was getting more excited.
The boy clicked his tongue with despise because he hated her the most in this world. She was his bane and only weakness.
" Then we will devour some of his strength, Anelia."
The boy muttered her name while putting on his mask. The shadow returned to its original condition as if it was nothing.
" Suit yourself, my beloved Cross."
Anelia called out his name while looking at him with her feverish eyes.
Meanwhile, Qattara was struggling to keep him at bay since he was getting more powerful every minute. Although his vessel was almost done, he didn't show any care or annoyance as he continued to tease her like she was already dead.
" You know my kins are selfish fellows. Not all of them follow our leader's commands, thinking they are undying and undefeatable. However, they forgot who is the most powerful among them. We follow our desires and instincts to create the most ideal world for us."
Gar spoke whilst the battle, not giving attention to her. His sword grew redder and redder as he spoke during the battle, showing he was getting more powerful.
Clash*
" You talk too much. Why are talking this much?"
Qattara said, swinging her scythe to slice his gut. Unfortunately, Gar blocked it with his bare hands once again. He smiled with a cruel look.
" That is because I like you. You have survived an encounter with one of us while you were young and you are now chosen as her inheritor which is a very interesting thing to me. I remember that I killed him yet, his functions are still working."
Gar calmly replied, throwing the armor away from him. It was time to end this because he had no more time.
