Kapitel 70: Part 3- Promise
Pi kept wandering in the southern continent to find a single trace of his father who was missing. However, it was like a needle in the haystack. Not a single word about his father couldn't be obtained because nobody knew about him father which was outrageous since Pi knew his father was a level 7 warrior.
" Hey, do you want to know about him?"
One day he heard this voice inside his head. Pi understood he was communicating with a mage since only mages and spirits were able to reach somebody's dreams.
" Who are you?"
Pi asked, demanding his identity from the mage because the southerners didn't actively help someone to gain anything, most of them were profit seekers.
" Nobody special. I knew the identity of your father and why you couldn't find him."
The mage said, his eyes shining under the mask. He had the motivation to tell about his father, but Pi didn't care about himself being used in a single moment due to the promise.
" Tell your price."
Pi sighed, thinking about the worst outcome possible. The mage was amused to hear such words since nobody dared to talk like him in a few hundred years.
" I am very intrigued by existence, child. You blessed by the spirits and your body is abnormally strong like dragons."
The mage spoke, rubbing his cheeks with a wondering look. The spirits didn't get along with dragons because they think they are violent and dragons think spirits are too peace-loving.
" You got my attention. I will tell about your father whose name was forgotten in the speck of history."
The mage said loudly. His robe shook from the memory fragment and he took them out like it was nothing.
Pi saw a silhouette of a man. He was big like him and he always smiled in the worst situation. Furthermore, he had a single pendant on his chest.
He always took off the pendant and wipe it clean before going out to battle. His enemies were ferocious monsters and fearsome warriors to behold, but the man battled against them all with a usual expression of his. He never stepped back nor cried out for help in the worst situation because something was driving him to move.
Pi watched as the man battled throughout his time. He saw him getting injured, stabbed, burned, frostbit, and cut. Yet, those eyes of his showed no mercy hesitation or whatsoever.
Finally, he reached the building where he was supposed to be in his youth. A gorgeous temple was waiting for its arrival with its owner who was a giant. The giant seemed to say something as it irritated the man, but he took out his pendant.
God seemed to understand his actions as he sat down beside him, marveling at his believers. His giant body shrunk down as he looked at the man.
Pi was getting nervous for no reason. He felt the immense power of God from the memory.
" Is this your answer son? Are you going to abandon everything that you have achieved for these two and give up your life for the fallen?"
Pi heard God's voice showing his emotions. He was disappointed and regretful. Truly, he cared about the man like he was his son, but the man already decided to save his family.
" Please promise that you will someday say ' I love you and I will be with you ' instead of me, my God. I wasn't available to keep my promise to them. Perhaps they may detest for me that reason, but you know what I have to do. Clean up my mess and do my task last time."
The man gave his pendant to God as he walked to the temple with a serious look. His armor was crackling and his sword was crying with each step.
God looked at the sky and threw the pendant into the air. Pi was surprised, but he saw a pendant on his hand in the next moment.
" Child, your father was a brave man and loving father. I knew your mother had passed away since I could see the trace of the dead in your step. Bury him next to her since he honored his words even though he couldn't go back."
The mage took off the mask and revealed his face to him.
