Kapitel 41: Ch 27: Celadon City

The morning sun had finally illuminated, high up in the sky. Because of the brightness, Wes finally woke.

Wes: Ok everyone. It's time to travel towards Celadon City.

Wes woke up his Pokemon. He then checked their summaries, as he always did, every morning.

" Ok evreyt...!!!! Wait a minute."

Wes immediately caught a discrepancy in Umbreon's summary.

Umbreon: male LV 41 Ability: Synchronize Item: Leftovers

Moves: Tackle, Growl, Helping Hand, Curse (Baby), Wish (Baby), Sand Attack, Pursuit, Quick Attack, Double Kick (Tutor), Hyper Beam (Tutor), Confuse Ray, Protect (TM), Payback (Tutor), Feint Attack, Charm (tutor), Foul Play (Tutor), Screech, Detect (Tutor), Sucker Punch (Tutor), Moonlight, Shadow Ball (TM), Return (TM), Mean Look, Last Resort.

"LV 41!!!!! When did this happen??? Last night he was only at LV 38. So how did Umbreon hain 3 levels in a single night???"

Wes then used his system to check for any possible explanation, towards this baffling result.

Umbreon: male LV 41 Ability: Synchronize Item: Leftovers

Explanation: PP training.

" PP training???..... !!!!!! Are you a freaking Hanma or something?????.

Wes finally figured the answer to the sudden level up of Umbreon. Then he immediately went towards his Umbreon and Espeon.

Wes: Hey Umbreon.

Wes called out his Umbreon, with a mischievous smile.

(Umbreon: " Why does he have that expression.")

Wes: Last night Umbreon, during your guard duty. Did you do something extra.

Umbreon: ???

Umbreon showed a confused look.

Wes: So you don't understand... Let me be then more direct. Did you do anything naughty last night???

Umbreon: !!!!!!!!!!!

Umbreon immediately jumped in shock.

(Umbreon: " Impossible. He was snoring like that Snorlax, we met before, together with Haunter. How does he know about last night???").

Espeon on the other hand, had her cheeks, brighten up, in a completely obvious red hue. Wes immediately found out, Espeon's embarrassment.

Wes: Espeon's reaction, is betraying what you did.

Wes continued to tease his Umbreon for some time. Then he called back his Pokemon and began moving towards Celadon City. Wes took 2 and a halve hours to reach his destination.

Immediately, Wes was awed, by the huge skyscrapers, that could be seen all over the city. Also a lot of flower arrangements and huge tree's, could also, be seen, all over the city.

Wes actually had to buy a map of Celadon City, so that he wouldn't get lost. Wes immediately began moving towards his first goal, he had set in Celadon City. The Celadon Department Store. He could finally sell all the Nuggets and Meteor Pisces he had collected on his travels. Then he could use this money, to be some useful TM's and hold items for his Pokemon.

The Celadon Department Store, was a huge purple building, with a total of 6 floors including the roof. Wes immediately went for the 2nd floor, to buy the TMs and items he needed. There at the cashier, a cute brown haired clerk, dressed in an azure, dress with white frills, could be directly seen.

Clerk: Hello. How can i help you?

Wes: I would like to sell some Nuggets and Meteor Pisces, i have.

Clerk: Of course.

Then Wes gave to the cute clerk, all three Star Piece's and all seven Nugget's he had collected, during his journey.

Wes: I would like to buy an unbreakable Dark Pulse TM, Double Team TM and the Sludge Bomb TM. I would also like one Black Sludge and two Wise Glasses.

Clerk: Together with the items you sold, you need to pay an additional 17500 Pokedolars.

The Wise Glasses because of their mirror effects were very cheap. The Black Sludge, was a healing over time item. So it was more expensive. But thanks to it, only working on Poison Type Pokemon, as well as the existence of the Leftovers item, that worked for all Pokemon, regardless of their Type, its price was actually, quite the bargain. Double Team was a very popular TM, since almost every Pokemon learned the Move. It was also, a non attacking Move. So it wasn't as expensive as other TMs. On the other hand the Dark Pulse and Sludge Bomb TM, had quite a big value.

After paying, Wes went, straight towards the 4th floor, to buy a Water Stone. After Staryu reaches a specific level, in the future, he would use this stone to evolve Staryu, into a Starmie. Luckily for Wes, they had a discount for the stones. So Wes only paid 2100 Pokedolars for the Water Stone.

Then Wes immediately went straight towards the Police Station. After all he knew, that under the Game Corner, there was a Team Rocket Hideout. After 20 minutes of walking, Wes found the Police Station.

Wes: I would like to report something.

Policeman: Tell me what you want to report.

Wes: At the Game Corner, on behind a poster there is a way to enter a Team Rocket Hideout.

Policeman: WHAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!

The Policeman was totally shocked. He couldn't believe, that a random person could report something this huge.

Wes: The poster is at the right, from the reception.

The Policeman, took a few moments before answering.

Policeman: Can you give me, your training card for indication purposes.

Wes: Sure.

The Policeman immediately began searching the info on Wes's profile. After all, the location of a Team Rocket Hideout, was a very important to the whole region. He also had some suspicions towards Wes. After all, the youth, had appeared out of the blue, launching at him, such a huge bombshell.

Then after 2 minutes, all his suspicions were cleared. In the database about the Pokemon Trainer Wes Williams, there were clear evidence of Wes helping the Police, by capturing two Team Rocket members. There was also information about him rescuing the daughter of a Silph Co researcher.

Policeman: Thanks for the information. We will take action after a bit of preparation.

After that Wes decided, that it was time to finish, the main objective of his trip. But midway towards his destination, he got interrupted.

???: Wes!!!!

Wes immediately turned around. In his view he saw a young girl with long brown hair and a white hat. That girl was his childhood friend Leaf.

Wes: How you've been Leaf.

Leaf: I'm fine. It's good to see you in one piece.

Wes: ???

Wes got totally confused at Leaf's last remark.

Wes: In one piece????

Leaf: I mean you had said, when we were at Vermilion City, that you will go to the Lavender Tower.

Wes after hearing that, immediately understood, what his friend ment.

Leaf: Since we met. How about we go for a coffee. I now a very good place.

Wes: Sure.

The cafe Leaf took Wes, had a big garden full of Sakura tree's. Below the tree's, were the seats, were someone, or group of people, could enjoy their drinks in a very relaxing atmosphere.

After they sat down and ordered their drinks, Leaf took out a Pokeball and immediately realised, the Pokemon inside it. A very cute red fox like Pokemon appeared on Leaf's lap. Yes it was a Vulpix.

Vulpix: female LV 34 Ability: Drought Item: Heat Stone

Moves: Ember, Foul Play (Baby), Hypnosis (Baby), Hex (Baby), Tail Whip, Roar, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, Confuse Ray, Fire Spin, Flamethrower (Tutor), Will-O-Wisp, Feint Attack, Heat Wave (Tutor), Extrasensory, Safeguard, Sunny Day, Hidden Power-Ground (TM),

Wes: A Drought Vulpix. A very good choice.

Leaf: Wow!!! You could tell???? Yes, i found this cute guy at Route 8. After i saw her Ability, i immediately knew, that i had to catch her.

Wes nodded, and then he took out, one of his own Pokeballs. And he immediately called out the Pokemon inside it. It was his newest team member. Haunter.

Leaf: !!!!!.

Leaf immediately flinched, at the sight, of this Ghost Type Pokemon. Haunter then looked at the Vulpix. Immediately a huge, full of naughtiness grin, appeared on its face. Then it went close to Leaf and the Vulpix and suddenly its eyes vanished . Then Haunter opened its mouth flicking its tongue out. On top of it, a pair of eyes dancing, in the air, could be seen.

Vulpix: Vuuuuulllll!!!!!!

The poor Vulpix screamed in fear. Leaf's face, also took a pale frightened look. She hugged, her scared Vulpix, in order to, calm her self, as well as her frightened Pokemon.

Wes: Haunter stop scaring the surrounding people.

Haunter: Haunter Haunter.

Haunter nodded and it immediately stopped its prank.

Leaf: Now i understand, why Gary and Daisy, have PTSD, when it comes to Ghost Type Pokemon.

Wes returned back his Haunter and then he apologized to Leaf and Vulpix.

Wes: Sorry about that.

Leaf: You better be. OHH!!!!! I almost forgot about it. There is a flower festival in 5 days, so the Gym doesn't accept challengers, until the festival ends.

Wes: Thanks for telling me.

Then Wes and Leaf continued to talk as they drank their drinks. Then Wes found a hotel at the south part of the city. Then next morning he left for Route 16 to train his Pokemon, until the festival finished.

5 days passed very swiftly. A young trainer with white hair and a blue coat could be seen outside of a huge greenery like building. On its Roof, a huge Vileplume flower could be directly observed.

Wes: Alright. Its time.

With that last word, Wes entered the Pokemon Gym of Celadon City in order to obtain, his 4th Badge.

Kapitel 42: Ch 28: Wes VS Erika part 1

(Hello guys. Sorry for the long wait. As I finished this chapter it somehow got deleted. Then as I was half finished. My phone sroped working and it wasn't possible to repair it. Do I lost all the teams and drafts of future chapters. So I had to create then from scratch :(.

Ch 28 turned out to be, a bit more than 6000 words so I decided to split it in 2 parts. Hope you enjoy).

Receptionist: Welcome challenger, to the Celadon City Gym.

As Wes went incide, he was immediately greeted by the beautiful receptionist, wearing a traditional purple Kimono. The reception hall, was full of different flower arrangements, of various colours and sizes. Then the receptionist lead Wes, towards the waiting room, before leaving shortly, in order to ask, the Gym Leader, Erika, about the format of this challenge.

The waiting room of the Gym, was decorated, with lots of sunflowers, roses, snapdragons, chrysanthemums, chamomile, as well as irises. In the middle of the room, a huge flower shaped table, along with also some wooden chairs, that had some flower decoration, on them, gave quite the welcoming feeling. After 5 minutes, the receptionist returned, along with a small tray, holding a 50 to 60 ml perfume bottle. The top of the bottle had a micrographie of a Gloom flower.

Receptionist: Thank you for waiting challenger. The format of the battle, will be a 6 VS 6, single format. Both the Challenger and the Gym Leader, can switch Pokemon. The Gym battle will begin in 30 minutes. Also, this is a gift, for visiting our Gym. Its the most popular perfume we have.

Wes: Thank you very much, for your hospitality.

Wes revealed a faint smile as he said that. After all this was the most welcoming Gym out of the other 3, he had visited before. As the receptionist left, Wes took a look at the perfume, he had just received. The bottle had a dark blue transparent colour. Also in huge golden bright words, the title "AWESOME GLOOM" decorated the bottle. in smaller words, wes could see that it was a men edition perfume.

Wes didn't spend even a second, before opening the bottle and spraying, his hand once. Then he smelled his hand. A complex refreshing aroma hit his nose. Back in his previous world and even this one, it was common knowledge, that the smell from the honey and pollen, Gloom produced, can reach weaponised levels. At closed spaces, the smell from Gloom was considered as a pure Calamity. There were reports of people, fainting while they had a distance of 1,25 miles away from a Gloom, thanks to its horrid smell.

Though there were also some good news, for Gloom. In his previous world Wes had heard, that perfumes made from Gloom, were considered, as top quality products. So he was always curious, if that was the case. Finally he had the chance to satisfy his curiosity.

The half an hour wait, was finally over. Wes immediately left the room and went straight towards the battlefield, were his 4th Gym Challenge awaited him.

On the other hand, on the stands, a lot of beautiful girls, could be seen. They were trainers training on the Gym, people that work at the Gym, as well as the cashier that work at the perfume shop, right next to the gym. Leaf was together with a young blonde woman.

???: Hey Leaf. I heard that, todays challenger is from your hometown.

Leaf: Yes Laura. That challenger is one of my childhood friends. He is also the one, that won the Vermilion City Double Tournament.

Laura: What!!!!! I see. So, he is the one that destroyed you completely, in the semifinals stage.

Laura said that last part with a teasing expression on her face.

Leaf: !!!!!!. Can't you not remind me of that.

Leaf on the other hand, showed a defeated look on her face.

Leaf: Though i believe, with all my training here, i should have closed the gap between us, quite a bit.

Then the conversation of the two girls got interrupted, as the challenger Wes and the Gym Leader Erika appeared on their opposite corners on the battlefield.

When the battlefield appeared in his field of vision, Wes had a single thought.

" What a huge grassland."

Then Wes finally reached his corner. Opposite to him a not to short or tall woman, wearing a pink kimono along with a yellow full of flowers robe could be seen. She was Erika the Gym Leader of Celadon City.

Erika: Welcome challenger to the Celadon City Gym. I am Erika the Gym Leader of this Gym. I hope, you are well prepared for our battle.

Wes: Of course I'm well prepared. Also, i thank you for your hospitality, during my stay at the Gym.

Wes really ment the last part of his sentence. After all, this was the first time, he was received like this, in a Pokemon Gym.

Erika: Ok then. Its time to battle.

Wes: Charizard take the stage.

Erika: Come on out, Tangela

Then a huge orange dragon (That is a Fire and Flying type, while an Alolan Exeggutor somehow is a Dragon Type) With a burning burning at the tip of its tail appeared, with a huge roar. On the other hand a bizarre creature, made up of only blue tenta.... ooops sorry.. Blue Vine's and two red feet appeared on stage.

Tangela: female LV 33 Ability: Chlorophyll Item: no

Moves: Constrict, Ingrain, Leech Seed (Baby), Rage Powder (Baby), Sleep Powder, Poison Powder, Sunny Day (TM), Growth, Synthesis (Tutor), Seed Bomb (Tutor), Giga Drain (TM).

Erika: Tangela use Sleep Powder.

Wes: Charizard Protect. Then Flamethrower.

Tangela realised a lot of green powder towards its opponent but all the powder, got blocked, by a protective green dome. Then Charizard launched its a powerful Flamethrower, towards the Tangela.

Erika: Tangela!!!!!

Hearing the voice of its trainer, Tangela dodge immediately, dodging the Flamethrower by a hair.

Erika: Tangela return.

Wes: Charizard Flamethro....

Wes was just about to order his Charizard, to use its Flamethrower Move again, but Erika swiftly switched out her current Pokemon.

Erika: Exeggutor come on out.

Then the Grass, Psychic Type Exeggutor appeared on the battlefield.

Exeggutor: male LV 34 Ability: Chlorophyll Item: no

Moves: Barrage, Hypnosis, Ancient Power (Baby), Grassy Terrain (Baby), Reflect, Light Screen (TM), Leech Seed, Bullet Seed, Poison Powder, Sunny Day (TM), Confusion, Giga Drain (TM), Stomp, Egg Bomb, Explosion (TM).

"Ancient Power!!! I expected, her new Pokemon to have Hidden Power-Rock. If it hits Charizard and also prock, the boost. Then I'm in big trouble. Luckily the super effective Move is still Rock Type, so my plan A, is still in motion ".

(In a Pokemon Sapphire Nazloke, that was going perfectly fine. In the final Steven fight. Wes only having lost a single Pokemon against 5 from Steven. The final Cradily of Champion Steven procked Ancient Power 3 times in a row, while also recovering its HP with one item or Giga Drain. The Cradily then Koed 4 Pokemon, before the final Camerupt, procked Quick Claw into a critical hit Eruption. Then procking the Quick Claw again into a crit Fire Blast for the win).

Wes: Charizard come back. Its your turn Magneton.

Then Wes immediately, switched out his Charizard for his Magneton.

Erika: Exeggutor use Sunny Day.

Wes: Metal Sound.

Exeggutor then emitted a faint light from its body. Then the sun rays concentrated on the whole battlefield. On the other hand Magneton launched its magnetic sound waves, hiting the Exeggutor, lowering its SPDef Stat by two stages.

Erika: Light Screen Exeggutor.

Wes: Metal sound again.

Exeggutor condensed an ethereal green screen in front of it. This screen reduced the damage of the user by 50%. Magneton used its Metal Sound Move again, lowering by -2 the SPDef of Exeggutor.

Erika: Hypnosis.

Wes: Protect.

Exeggutor hearing, the order of its trainer, condensed three golden rings, made out of psychic energy and launched them at Magneton. Regretfully those rings, were deflected by the Protect Move of Magneton.

Erika: Exeggutor use Leech Seed.

Erika immediately after seeing the green dome, ordered her Pokemon to use its Leach Seed Move. She hoped that with the continuous damage and healing effect, that the Move had. Her Exeggutor, would be able to outgrind its opponent. But Wes had a counterplan.

Wes: Magneton Gravity.

In a radius around Magneton, the space started to distort. As the Leech Seed entered that space, it started to lose height, until it hit the ground, a distance away, from its intended target.

Erika: Exeggutor use Hypnosis.

Wes: Double Team.

Exeggutor again launched 3 rings towards its opponent, but this time, the rings passed through an afterimage.

Wes: Metal Sound.

Immediately after Magneton avoided, the Hypnosis Move of Exeggutor, it immediately executed the order of its trainer, lowering its SPDed Stat by a total of -6. Then the weather returned back to normal.

Erika: Sunny Day.

Wes: Magneton use Tri Attack.

Exeggutor then changed the weather of the battlefield again. Magneton on the other hand created a three different colour balls of energy in a triangle formation. One was red, another one was blue and the last one was yellow. Then the 3 energy balls combined and were launched towards the Exeggutor.

Erika: take it Exeggutor. Then use Hypnosis.

Exeggutor listened to its trainer. It took the hit receiving quite a bit of damage. Then it launched its hypnotic rings again. But Wes was prepared yet again

Wes: Teleport.

Magneton Teleported behind Exeggutor, while its trainer gave it a new order.

Erika: Grassy Terrain.

Exeggutor then glowed with an ethereal green light. Then the whole battlefield was covered in this aura.

(Grassy Terrain creates a low-lying grassy field lasting 5 turns, that restores the HP of grounded Pokémon each turn, by 1⁄16 of their maximum HP. The power of Grass type moves also increases by 50% while in effect, and the moves Earthquake, Magnitude, and Bulldoze lose 50% of their power.

Grounded Pokémon are simply those that are not raised. Raised Pokémon are any Flying types or those under the effects of Levitate, Magnet Rise or Telekinesis. Grassy Terrain is a terrain condition and can coexist at the same time as weather conditions, but not other terrain conditions.

The Move Nature Power also turns into Energy Ball under the effect of Grassy Terrain).

Wes: Hidden Power.

Magneton launched a lot of red coloured orbs towards the Exeggutor. The damage reduction wasn't even close to withstanding that attack, resulting at the defeat of Exeggutor.

Erika: Noooooooo!!!!!! Exeggutor.

Erika was shocked at what had just transpired. This Magneton was way more slippery than she expected. So she decided to use one of the most troublesome Pokemon on her team.

Erika: Venusaur go.

A huge Venusaur appeared on stage, with a huge roar.

Venusaur: VEEEEEENAUsauuur!!!!!

Venusaur: female LV 35 Ability: Chlorophyll Item: Leftovers.

Moves: Tackle, Sludge (Baby), Synthesis (Baby), Crowl, Sunny Day (TM), Leech Seed, Sleep Powder, Reflect (Tutor), Light Screen (TM), Razor Leaf, Sweet Scent, Giga Drain (TM), Growth, Hidden Power-Fire (TM), Petal Blizzard, Solar Beam (TM).

Erika: Venusaur Hidden Power.

Wes: Meral Sound.

Venusaur launched the same energy orbs, Magneton used, to defeat Exeggutor. Magneton took the hit directly, while the Metal Sound lowered the SPDef Stat of Venusaur by 2 stages.

Erika: Venusaur Hidden Power again.

Wes: Teleport.

The Hidden Power-Fire was launched again at an amazing speed, but its target had teleported behind Venusaur.

Wes: Metal Sound.

Erika: Solar Beam.

Thanks to Magneton sudden appearance, Magneton managed to fire its Move first, while Venusaur had to turn around its body, in order to target its opponent. Venusaur's SPDef Stat got lowered again. Venusaur then thanks to the sunny weather conditions, finished instantly the preparation needed to fire its Solar Beam Move. Magneton took a direct hit, fainting in the process.

Wes returned back to its Pokeball, the defeated Magneton.

Wes: Good job. Your sacrifice won't ve in vain. Charizard take the stage.

Then Charizard appeared again for the second time.

Erika: Venusaur use Sleep Powder.

Wes: Charizard Protect. Then Flamethrower.

Venusaur immediately realised its Sleep Powder Move. Bit it got blocked by the Protect Move, used by Charizard. Then at instant Speed a Flamethrower moved towards the Venusaur. Venusaur had no time to dodge

Erika: Light Screen.

But it was too late. The Flamethrower blasted Venusaur before it could condense its Light Screen Move. The Flamethrower was even a critical hit. The damage was so mach, that Venusaur fainted immediately after taking the hit.

In the stands Leaf and Laura, along with the other girls, had their mouths wide open.

Leaf: Impossible.

Laura: One blow. One of the three nightmares for all challengers, was taken out, in one single blow.

Leaf: How did this happen????.

Leaf showed a defeated expression on her face as she was saying that.

Erika: Tangela go.

Erika returned back her defeated Pokemon, switching the new one very fast. She wanted to take advantage of the previous use of the Protect Move, in order to put this huge threat, to sleep.

Erika: Tangela Sleep Powder.

Wes: Charizard Wing Attack.

Charizard went straight for the Tangela, but it started to lose heigh very obviously, until it crash landed on the ground, at a close distance from the opposing Tangela.

Wes: Flamethrower.

Erika: !!!!!!!!!! DODGEEEEE!!!!!

Erika after hearing Wes, had a very bad feeling but as she screamed at her Pokemon to dodge the incoming danger, Charizard opened its is wide open and a powerful Flamethrower was launched straight at the Tangela, at a very close range. Tangela took the hid directly immediately fainting.

The Grassy Terrain then dissipated.

Erika: Great job Tangela. Return.

Erika returned back her defeated Pokemon.

Erika: You send your Charizard head on, in order to make it fall asleep and then, immediately wake up from the Chesto Berry. Right????

Erika made a conjecture, about the plan of her opponent. Wes immediately answered, after hearing the Gym Leader.

Wes: You are almost completely corect. I used the Lum berry, to cover all the status conditions. After all the Grass Type Pokemon are very well known for that strategy.

Erika: I see. You might actually be, the most prepared challenger i faced, in my whole career.

Erika was very truthful about this. After all it was only the 4th time, that a challenger was prepared, that well for her. But Wes had only revealed 3 Pokemon so far. He actually even sacrificed Magneton, in order to weaken, and destroy her Venusaur, in one blow. Who knew, what else, he had in store, for this battle.

As Erika talked with Wes. The weather returned back to normal.

Erika: Ok then. lets continue with this match. Victreebel you are next.

Victreebel: male LV 34 Ability: Chlorophyll Item: no

Moves: Vine Whip, Weather Ball (Baby), Endure (Baby), Growth, Sunny Day (TM), Sleep Powder, Hidden Power-Water (TM), Energy Ball (Tutor), Acid, Gastro Acid (Tutor), Lead Tornado, Poison Jab (TM), Giga Drain (TM).

Wes then, switched out his Charizard again, for a new Pokemon.

Wes: Butterfree come on out.

Butterfree: Free freee.

Butterfree was quite excited, to appear in this Gym battle. After all Wes didn't use it, at the Gym, in Vermilion City.

Erika: Sunny Day Victreebel.

Wes: Butterfree use String Shot.

Victreebel then changed the weather of the battlefield yet again. Butterfree on the other hand launched a lot of, sticky silk, that got stuck around Victreebel's body, lowering its Speed Stat by one stage.

Erika: Victreebel use Gastro Acid.

Wes: Protect.

Victreebel immediately after hearing, the order, of its trainer, launched, in quite the lot volume, of green guey acid, towards Butterfree. Butterfree enveloped itself in a green dome that deflected, the incoming acid.

" So. Trying to negate my ability huhh".

Erika: Weather Ball Victreebel.

Wes: Teleport then use Psybeam.

Victreebel launched a big white energy ball from its mouth. As the ball left Victreebel and moved towards its opponent, it started to immediately get bigger and bigger and suddenly changed into a huge fire ball. This Was the effect, of the Weather Ball Move. The Move would double in power and then, change its Type, according to the weather conditions of the battlefield.

Butterfree on the other hand, teleported behind the Victreebel, completely avoiding the Weather Ball. Then the rainbow ray that Butterfree realised, hit hard, the opposing Victreebel.

Erika: Victreebel use Sleep Powder.

Wes: Double Team Butterfree.

Butterfree immediately created 6 afterimages, but the Sleep Powder of Victreebel found its mark. The real Butterfree had fallen asleep, while being mid air. Then it started to fall down. Erika finally had a smirk on her face. It was time to begin her counter attack.

Erika: Good job. Victribell use weathe,,, Dodge to the right Now!!!!!

As Erika ordered her Victreebel to attack, she suddenly got a very bad feeling. Immediately she changed her intented order, and had her Victreebel to quickly dodge towards the right side. Then a rainbow ray passed right through the previous position of Victreebel. Victreebel had narrowly dodged the sudden Psybeam of Butterfree.

Erika: Victreebel use Sleep Powder.

Wes: Safeguard Butterfree.

Victreebel realised again, a lot of green polen, towards its opponent. Butterfree on the other hand was enveloped, by an ethereal substance. As the Sleep Powder Move reached Butterfree, it appeared, to have, no effect.

Erika: " Now i can't use any negative status Moves. Damit . I can't take advantage of the consumed Berry".

Erika got frustrated at this development. The opening, she had found. Turned out to be a huge trap, that she, narrowly avoided. And now that Butterfree had used its Lum Berry, making this the opportune moment to put it to Sleep, only to be countered again.

Erika: Growth Victreebel.

Wes: Electro Web.

Butterfree created a web made completely out of electricity. Then that web, enveloped Victreebel lowering its Speed Stat again by 1 stage. While the web enveloped Victreebel, Victreebel had used its Growth Move, in order to increase, its Atk and SPAtk Stat by 2 stages. Then the weather at that time, returned back to normal.

(Growth is a Move that increases the Atk and SpAtk Stat of the user by 1 stage. In harsh sunlight, the stats are increased, by 2 stages instead).

Erika: Victreebel use Sunny day.

Wes: Butterfree Supersonic.

Erika ordered her Pokemon, to change the weather again. After all with Chlorophyll, Victreebel will have its normal Speed. Wes since Sleep Powder, didn't work on the Grass Type, decided to inflict Victreebel with the confusion status.

Erika: Solar Beam.

Wes: Double Team.

Butterfree created again, afterimages of itself. Victreebel thanks to the sunny weather, charged its Solar Beam immediately. But because of its dizziness, its Solar Beam Move didn't hit, even an afterimage.

Erika: Victreebel use Poison jab.

Wes: Psybeam Butterfree.

The huge vine, on Victreebel's body, started to glow, in an eyre purple colour. Victreebel then dashed towards Butterfree. Butterfree on the other hand managed to hit Victreebel again, with its rainbow coloured ray. Victreebel was knocked back, but at the same time, its confused status returned back to normal.

Erika: Good job Victreebel. Use Weather Ball.

Wes: Butterfree Teleport!!!

Victreebel immediately launched, its Fire Type Weather Ball towards its opponent. Wes immediately ordered, his Pokemon to dodge, with its Teleport Move. After all that boosted Weather Ball, could potentially, one shot Butterfree.

Erika: Solar Beam.

Ees: Take it and use Psybeam.

Victreebel immediately launched a huge blinding ray towards its opponent. Butterfree went straight towards the ray, taking the hit. Thanks to Butterfree's Type Butterfree didn't take a lot of damage. Then as the Solar Beam dissipated, Butterfree counterattacked with its own ray. Victreebel took the sudden hit directly, fainting in the process.

Erika: Victreebel!!!!!.

Erika immediately returned back her defeated Pokemon. It had fought very valiantly, but Butterfree got the upper hand. Then Erika called out, one of her ace Pokemon. The Pokemon, that inspired, the design of this Gym.

Erika: Go Vileplume.
