Kapitel 1: The Normal Life
Oliver exclaimed "Ah!" as soon as he woke up. Once more, his persistent cycle of nightmares had hit. The dream was unusual as usual, but this whole time it was even more so. He frequently had visions in which he was sipping wine in a cave full of bats or was being pursued by a huge animal resembling a bunny. This time, he was instructed to swallow a bright blue liquid by an 8-foot wolf in his dream. When he drank it, his entire body felt like it was on fire. Then he awoke. He glanced at the time and noticed that it was already 7:30am. He was still in bed without a shirt on even though the bus was about to arrive. He swiftly showered, changed into his grey long sleeve shirt, unbuttoned to reveal his white supreme t-shirt, and got dressed. He slipped on a pair of white Addidas shoes and his dark blue pants.
He hurried downstairs to meet his mother, who was preparing his breakfast with her usual efficiency. "Mom, Good Morning," he remarked as he sat down next to the table. How was your night, Oliver? she greeted. He answered, "I had this insane dream with a wolf and a blue liquid. "It had to be Diagoe. I hope you haven't had a drink "She remarked with humor. He expressed disappointment that his mother believed he was drinking alcohol, saying, "No mum, I don't even like alcohol."
Just then mom boyfriend James came in with some plumbing equipments. James, the mom's boyfriend, had just arrived with some plumbing supplies. "Hello, young man," he said, addressing Oliver. Oliver is obviously not pleased with any aspect of James, including his surprise arrival. "James, good morning," Oliver's mother, Michelle remarked. James, who was allowed permission to call Oliver's mother by his given moniker, remarked, "Hi Chelle"." Yes, my restroom is upstairs, third door from the right". James replied as he ascended the steps, "On my way." Oliver remarked, "Are you two intending to get married any time soon?" "Why do you asked that?" she questioned. "Just the fact that... No matters", Oliver said, "Oliver, it's been two years since your father passed away; I think it's time to move on. Although I really mourn your father, we cannot worry about the deceased while still living "She said this with insight. "I suppose you are correct"said Oliver. The bus honked, "Well see you later." wished Oliver's mom.
Oliver makes his three closest friends at school, Anna, Mia, and Kendra. He was inevitably drawn into girlie activities because he was the lone boy in a group of girls. Anna said, "Hello. Oliver's dreads seemed out of date next to her dark pink hair. Man, this summer break was short as hell, said Kendra, who never stopped whining. Mia, a Kuwaiti exchange student who wore a hijab, stated, "My summer break was dull for me since I had to monitor my twin brother. They made going to school appear more pleasurable than sitting at home throughout my summer vacation". When the bell rang, I assumed that class had begun. I click with you, Mia said. Anna said, "Oliver and I have business administration," and Kendra sighed, "I have politics." Oliver gave the order, "We will meet at the cafeteria by lunch."
The group's bravest member, Kendra, chose to eat the mystery meat after they were served their lunch. The other team members ordered cheeseburgers and lime soda. Kendra's black-flown was resting on the chair's back when she asked,"Have we forgotten something?" "Yes, we are," Anna replied. "Exactly, I wonder what is going on on Saturday the 23rd of September," Mia said, and they all looked at Oliver, who had no idea why they were staring at him. "What is going on on the 23rd? Is Kendra shopping for feminine clothing? "Oliver laughed. "You know I'm not going to be seen in gowns and high heels. My baggy cargo pants and abstract top are my favorites. Besides, we're discussing your birthday, stupid ".
Oliver was so preoccupied with his mother's boyfriend that he forgot about his own birthday. "I think we should celebrate it at the upcoming magic convention," Anna suggested. "Yeah, I'd like to see some phony magicians," Kendra said. "Sounds interesting, what do you think, Oliver?" Mia inquired. "Well, that doesn't sound like a bad idea," Oliver said.
When Thomas poured water on Oliver as he walked by to enter his trash, he smirked, "I didn't know the school had a new trash can, Oliver." "Yeah, and I had no idea the school had new gym equipment, like a punching bag," Kendra explained. "What do you want to do, Kendra?" Thomas asked, emphasizing the dra in Kendra. "Fight you behind the community park on Friday the 22nd," Kendra replied. "OK, don't be late," Thomas said as he walked away. "A battle between the strongest boy and girl in the school. You know Thomas will not back down or be gentle with you just because you are a girl "Anna stated. "Good thing I don't want him. What happened to Oliver? "Kendra inquired. "He went to the restroom to clean up," Mia explained.
