Kapitel 167: The Nanny

  Eveline heard the carriage and the horses as she stood while carrying her daughter and went outside to greet her husband. The door opened as Gavril smiled and removed his hat. He approached her with a kiss on the lips. Then, a woman in a hood entered. She was puzzled and looked at her husband. 

"I hired her as a nanny," Gavril said. Her heart somehow had that pang of pain. She's a little hurt that he didn't ask her if she needed a nanny. 

"No. I don't need a nanny." 

  Gavril held her waist as he bent down. 

"She needs a job. She nearly got raped on the road, my love." 

"I don't need~~" Eveline gritted her teeth. She doesn't know why she's getting irritated but she just feels that something isn't right. She looked at the woman again and in Eris's consciousness, she gaped. She was taken aback seeing Vera there. She smiled gently like the way she does back then.
