Kapitel 17: Mission: Kiss the Girl
A Sunday dinner was like thanksgiving to them. Everyone is online for dinner including their family back in Paradis. Karmina, Keira, and other moms prepare a lot of food for the kids and their husbands. Eris wished to help as well but Gray took her somewhere. It was a loud happy family. They didn't leave her out as she was included in everything. They talk to her casually like she's a normal person, unlike others who would treat her like she's a burden.
She was walking to the playroom by tracing her fingertips to the walls when a furry thing bumped into her. She froze as her eyes widened. Like a desperate person, she dropped to her knees to hold the furry thing hoping that it was her dog, King. She still hopes that her dog is alive and well as Griffin promised. The dog sniffed her as she touched the dog's face and silky fur. It has a nanny hat on.
"King," She called as tears rolled down her cheeks. The dog doesn't feel like King but it was close to that.
"That's Pluto. A Saint Bernard breed." A voice speaks. "He's Calli's nanny dog."
She was disappointed. Harvey stared at her and upon seeing her tears, he knew well that she was suffering from something.
"You got a dog too?"
"Yes," She said as she chuckled and hugged the dog.
"We have a lot of friendly dogs. We got guard dogs and nanny dogs. You can play with them anytime."
"Pluto," She called as the dog wiggled his tail and licked her face.
Harvey creased his brows while watching Eris change her expression quickly from sadly crying to smiling. The girl must have endured a lot.
"My dog's name is King and he's my service dog. We literally grow together and he helps me with almost everything." She adjusted her walking stick as she stood.
"Pluto, please escort Miss Eris to the playroom."
The dog bit her walking stick and pulled her to lead her to wherever the playroom was. Eris was surprised at how trained the dog was. Trained dogs are a must to protect the kids.
"Pluto!" Calli exclaimed as Benedict mimicked.
"Pluto!"
The dog wasn't bothered as he continued leading Eris to the playroom until Jaime reached Eris's hand.
"Let's have a movie together since tomorrow we have to go back to school."
"Okay," Eris smiled. "What are we watching then?"
"Your choice."
"I am fine with anything." She said as Jaime took her to the sofa.
Yves sat beside her.
"What's your pick?"
"Anything that you kids wanted to watch. We already watched Minions Rise of God."
"Wow, that's good."
"Monster," Benny said as he climbed to Eris's lap.
She quickly snuggled to Benny as she kissed his head. Gray signed them to leave as Jaime gave up the seat. But then, Kaiden rushed to the spot beside Eris and quickly hugged her. Jaime quickly took Kaiden as Gray sat beside Eris. Then, Yves took Benedict which made both babies confused. Gray smiled as he put his arms around her and leaned his chin over her shoulders.
"Another childish movie, then?"
"Yes," She giggled and snuggled to him. Gray held her protectively as they started choosing what to watch.
"Kaka?" Kendal approached them and raised her arms.
"Go to your mommy now."
Kal pulled his baby sister away and picked her and carried her away.
Eris listened to the movie and started playing. He whispered everything that was happening as she already guessed the same based on the sounds and conversations. He removed the walking stick wrapped around her wrist and he started massaging her palm. He kisses it almost every fifteen minutes while he's telling her what happened in the movie. The kids were giggling as they would snuggle up to their older siblings or their parents.
Suddenly, a baby cried. Eris quickly turned her head to her directly. She never heard a baby cry. She guessed that it was around five to ten months.
"It's Emilia, the nine months old baby of MJ and Harvey. She also had a twin brother named Elias."
"Oh, wow." She mumbled.
Eris remembered how a baby cried. She remembered that it was her brother's wife's son. Also, there's another boy who would pick on her casually. Everyone thought that the boy was crazy. He had a disability. ADHD with autism. She always hears her deceased brother's wife who would whisper to the boy named Elon. Firstborn of her brother Luke. Luke hated the boy and he killed his first wife. But Elon was a sweet boy. He would ask her if she was alright every time she cries. The boy wasn't a bad person. He just needs attention.
"Eris," An adorable voice called. "Eris, you sleep in my room, peeaseeee." Benny asked her. She bent down toward Benny as she reached him. She carefully reached the boy's fat cheeks.
"Benny," Gray bent down. "She's sleeping with me, okay? You should sleep with your sister."
Benny pouted.
"Eris, sle-eep me. No, no baddie dreams." He told him. Eris was surprised as it was true. Every time that she held him, she won't ever have a bad dream. It felt like Benny was pulling her into his fantasy dreams. Full of grass, clouds, flowers, animals… It felt like she never wanted to wake up.
"Darling?" He asked her.
"It's okay with me."
"No. Sleepy me." Kaiden interrupted.
Gray turned to their parents who shrugged at him. He then glared at the kids. He wanted Eris for himself but everytime~~everytime that she's close with the kids, it gets interrupted. His mission to kiss her gets interrupted. After the movie, the kids went to their bed as Benny and Kaiden insisted on sleeping with her. But their parents told them that Eris needed to walk. They are supportive of him as Gray and Eris walk in the garden for a while.
Mission: Kiss the Girl.
Keira and Johanna were busy spying on Gray while their husbands were taking care of the kids.
They are walking in a magical garden. Gray stopped in the middle as he removed her slippers.
"Let's feel the grass."
She stepped out of her slippers and sighed feeling the cold grass that was a little wet from dew. She sighed. Gray also took her walking stick and placed it away. Then, he pulled both of her hands to feel more of the grass.
"It's amazing, isn't it? The smell of the grass, the dew that makes it moisture."
"It is," Gray said. "But do you know the most amazing part?"
"The dark sky full of stars?" She asked.
"Yes, and you shine." Gray kissed both of her hands. "We might be taking this fast but I want to kiss you right now."
Eris was puzzled.
"Gray,"
"Darling. I won't kiss you unless I get your permission?"
"Do it." She said.
"Are you sure?" He grinned. "I'm a totally good kisser."
Johanna and Keira were waiting while filming the two. Filming their first kiss will be perfect for the wedding. Gray had no idea that they were in disguise. Since Johanna can move like a wind. After all, she's a killing machine.
"I want you, Eris." He whispered as he bent down. "I want you to be my wife." He opened his mouth a little as he was about to kiss her when a dog barked at the bushes.
Gray looked behind them to see Johanna and Keira hushing the American pitbull named Hunter. He wiggled his tail and shortly a white pitbull rushed to them too, named Lovie. Hunter is Johanna's dog while Lovie is Keira's.
"Shh~Shh." Keira hushed them as Johanna shot them with her fingers acting like a gun. The dogs play dead as the two waves at Gray to tell him to continue.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Nothing," Gray smiled.
Mission: Failed.
"Do you want to go back home?" He asked.
"Okay. We didn't get enough naps. But I enjoyed the day."
"Great," Gray glared at the two who apologetically bowed at him. Then, they rushed as they picked up their heavy dogs.
Gray took their slippers and her walking sticks as they started walking back to his house which is a few meters away from the garden of Roses where they came from. Eris walked casually without her walking stick like she had her eyes by holding Gray's hand. She used her ability to see his handsome face and although it would give her a side effect, she still wanted to see his smile, his handsome face. She wanted to kiss him too. Badly. He looked down at her and smiled. Although everything was blurry she could still see his handsome face.
"Take a step."
She slowly took steps by only staring directly at his handsome face. He suddenly picked her up like a bride. He smiled as he took her to her room. He gently put her down on the bed. She sat up.
"Do you want a bathtub? Maybe soak in the petals of roses?"
"Lukewarm?" She asked.
"Yes," He went to the bathroom and smiled at the petals already in the tub. He checked the temperature. It was already cold but since it was only half filled, he turned on the hot faucet. He went back to her and froze to see her nose bleeding. She was currently wiping it with her hands. "Eris!" He rushed to her and he quickly pulled the tissue.
