Kapitel 12: Chapter 12: Made to be an actor?

"I can finally test my powers." I quickly began my preparations.

I placed one of the few seals on the ground and activated it with a hand seal. Immediately a symbol appeared on the ground and quickly vanished.

The principle of the seal is simple. The chakra that is absorbed in is collected in the centre of the seal and then released like a shock wave. The shock wave is so small and fine that it cannot be detected. The range is also phenomenally large for the amount of chakra sucked in.

'Ugh,' I limped back a little from this strange sensation. I felt many different amounts of chakra spread out over several kilometers, from large to small amounts in many places.

I closed my eyes and concentrated to see if there were any Anbu stationed near our house, but there didn't seem to be any.

"That settles the question of how they deal with it at home...they're watching over surveillance buildings most likely," I looked out the window and my gaze greeted two buildings in the distance.

In the anime, the Uchiha's were watched by surveillance cameras in the Uchiha clan, and I thought this was the same in real life.

'The question is how they'll handle it when they're outside,' I put my finger under my chin, 'the surveillance buildings make it hard to search every corner of Konoha.

I made my way outside to find out exactly that. Of course, I didn't forget to let Hazuki know that I was exploring the city.

I have activated the seal in various places, so to avoid being traced I have gone into shops or other premises and activated the seal to be on the safe side. I can also activate the seal from anywhere, so often I would secretly place it on my palm or activate it under a table to trigger the pressure wave.

It took me a while to sort out the different sources of chakra until I found two sources next to each other that I had tracked down several times before.

'Bingo,' I smiled to myself as I drank a coke that the friendly grandmother in the shop had given me.

I didn't try to satisfy my curiosity by glancing in their direction, just concentrated on my coke and acted like a child.

Inside I was already drenched in sweat, 'Thank God I didn't go straight to him and checked everything to be safe,' I thought to myself as I sipped the coke.

I don't know why they're watching me, since I'm not a sharingan-bearer and therefore not a danger, but that's not important.

'What is important is the impact of Danzo watching me too,' my eyes narrowed at the seriousness of this situation.

If I'm being followed, I won't be able to act as freely as I thought I would, which will set back my plan considerably.

"Thank you very much," I stood up, thanked the old lady and started to walk home.

I began to think, 'the situation is not that terrible, the priority is to always check with my seal when the Anbus are present, to find out how many people are following me and at what intervals.'

'Later I can try to get around the surveillance with clones and transformations. I made my way home, taking the shortest route through the back alleys of Konoha.

I turned from one alley to another until I suddenly stopped. Someone was coming down the alley, I narrowed my eyes as I tried to make out the person as the alleys are quite dark.

'What???'

When I saw the person, I couldn't believe my eyes, unconsciously taking a step back due to the rejection towards this person.

'Shimura Danzo!', I didn't expect to see this person.

*Tap*

Danzo stopped and fixed his staff on the ground. "Kid, don't you know that it's dangerous to walk around in the dark alleys," he said, looking at me with his grumpy face.

My heart started to race and my palms became sweaty, I unconsciously tilted my head to the ground to avoid looking at him, but I know I can't keep this up for long.

'Okay Haruto, calm down, you don't have to be afraid, right now he doesn't see me as anything more than a little boy, but the fact that he appeared in front of me must have a reason. He wouldn't run into one of the alleys without a reason,' I thought, 'He wants something from me, but I don't know what it is... but maybe this is his chance to get rid of the surveillance if I don't do what he wants.'

'But first I should take a little countermeasure,' I moved my hand to one of my pockets and activated a seal.

I finished my thoughts and started to act like a child.

"Um, uh, I'm... Th-Thank you for the..hint, I'm on my way!", I started to stutter and fidget as tears started to fall, trying to get out of this situation by pretending to be overcome with panic.

As I turned and walked out of the alley, the clear rays of the sun greeted me, but I couldn't rejoice too soon when I felt someone squeeze my shoulder.

Danzo came forward as if he had teleported, his face growing even grumpier as he realised he hadn't been properly answered. "Don't you know that when you talk to someone, you look them in the eye?" he spoke as if to scold me.

'You stupid shit, what are you asking a two year old child to do,' I thought to myself and continued my charade. From my previous life I know how to deal with my superior.

'Laugh with them in person and complain behind your back' is the universal tactic if you want to survive in society.

'Haa, it's probably useless,' I hesitated a little, trying to avoid looking him in the face for as long as possible for fear of asking for a genjutsu.

I lifted my face and saw his face. It's the second time I've seen his face, but it's really ugly.

'Maybe I can buy some time to get out of here, perhaps I should try that!'

Without showing it, I replied, "O- Old man, what do you want... are you looking for the hospital?" I asked with fear in my voice to show that I was frightened.

"Why should I go to the hospital?" he asked or rather demanded an answer, surprised that I would ask this question.

I tilted my head innocently and told him, "You look like someone who is going to the grave and therefore you need treatment... don't you, you old bandaged OLD man?".

His face contorted slightly until he replied, "Don't you know who you're looking at?"

"No, I don't know who you are...wait," I widened my eyes and smiled brightly, "Are you the Hokage?"

His face twisted even more into a strange shape.

I turned to look at the Hokage rock to not see his face, if I did, I would burst out laughing. "Umm... Your face is not the first stone face, but not the second, not the third and not even the fourth", my bright smile faded with each passing stone.

I turned 'angry' back at him, "You're a liar, you're not an important person, you can't fool me."

'If someone from Hollywood sees my act, they'll give me the damn oscar, maybe I should quit the ninja life and just be an actor?', I thought in my head, 'I was scared at first, but I didn't think this situation teasing Danzo would be so funny!'

"You stupid brat," he stamped his cane on the ground and began to grit his teeth. He started to move forward and raised his staff. But before he could do anything, he stopped abruptly.

"Haru!" cried a familiar voice.

'Finally', I turned around and started to act- I mean to cry again. I took a moment and cried out in a loud voice of relief. "Mummy"

I ran to her and wrapped my arms around her neck, burying my face in her breasts.

"Haru, you're late, you promised me you'd be home around 6," Hazuki scolded me gently.

"Sorry," I mumbled as I dove deeper into her breasts.

She stroked my head gently and then looked at Danzo. "Danzo-sama, I am sorry if my little one has caused you any trouble."

"Teach your son some manners, the way he treats the elders leaves a lot to be desired."

"I will do so," she said with a slight bow.

Danzo just huffed and turned away, but not before stopping to look at me for a moment and then going his way. He had a look of disappointment on his face.

I sighed.

Who would have thought that I would have direct contact with Danzo so soon. That man must have wanted something from me, but I guess it didn't work out.

I smiled as I remembered how I'd gotten on his nerves, I laughed inwardly, but things could have turned out differently.

I had no choice. Danzo is not someone who acts without a reason, so if he was after me, there must have been a reason.

'Maybe he wanted to use me for something related to the Uchiha clan,' I thought for a while until I came up with a possible solution.

'I hope with this approach, he will give me up... Well, that remains to be seen and hoped for,' I thought for a while '...in the meantime, I guess I have to keep an extra close eye on my surroundings.'

"Let's go home, Haru," Hazuki said after Danzo had disappeared from sight.

"Yes," I said nothing more and just laid my head on her shoulders.

It had been a hard day.
