Kapitel 28: Perception
Blush went back to her daily routine of taking odd jobs, magic and perception training, body training and studying any useful books that arrived at the book store.
After her previous experience and from working as hard as she could to train for several years, she realised her physical limitations compared to most monstrous beings in the universe or those who were truly talented.
It could take her several hundred years to reach a certain power level on her own only to have a Frieza, the Androids, Cell, Buu and many more to show up suddenly to surpass her in power and talents then there were the talented people of the z fighters followed by what came later.
There would be a whole new power level scale and limit which would be opened up with constant competition and dangers ahead while everyone would be unlocking new potential within themselves, new forms or transformations while she did not possess the potential to transform herself or multiply her power level.
There existed ways to unlock potential, train under intensive gravity, draw out hidden potential, eating special fruits to increase ki from a rare and dangerous tree then many other things to help increase her physique and ki but most were difficult to access or were even more difficult to find.
Blush had decided that while it was good to increase her martial arts and train her body, her primary means of survival relied on her magic so she started to take matters more seriously and began drawing up some ideas for training.
One thing which Blush took up was fishing which allowed her to calm her mind and enter a more tranquil state while learning the essence of being silent and still until sensing the moment that a fish was hooked.
Blush was sitting on top of a rock and her overall presence was close to being nonexistent because she remained still and her breathes were very quiet.
The rod in her hands was still and her senses were focussed on the tiniest movements and ripples in the water.
She had been sat there for a long time but a fish suddenly circled the bait and approached.
Blush did not make any sudden movements and remained calm during the critical moment so when the fish took the bait, it was quickly hooked and pulled out of the water within a quick movement from her.
She looked down at the fish which landed in the basket and quickly ended its life. "Now dinner is decided. Time to go home."
Upon returning home, the fish was prepared for cooking and the fire was started.
The flames started to move under the control of Blush as the fish was being heated up as she adjusted the temperature and controlled the flames to stay within a certain range to avoid setting everything on fire or burning it.
The flames were dispersed after a while and after a little waiting, Blush started to eat the fish.
The texture and taste was perfect so Blush showed a look of satisfaction. "My control is getting better as my perception and state of mind has improved. This must be why the Kai's and others are so in tune with certain types of spiritual techniques or have even mastered the use of god ki.. it requires a tranquil and calm heart and mind to be able to use such forces. Taking a forceful or brutish approach would only be counterproductive. Should I just move to a more peaceful place that has some magic or spiritual techniques?"
The idea of moving somewhere to live out her life and train or carry out her research was tempting since there would always be a means of leaving earth one day.
Blush shook her head. "No.. I would be throwing myself into the universes struggles to early. Earth still has a lot to explore then there is the demon and underworld."
There were many places which were rarely brought up unless it was in a filler episode or a movie and even if it was in an official episode, very little was revealed about certain things in the dragon ball universe.
Blush cleaned herself up a little and touched the earring hanging from her ear.
The magic was infused into it which filled up what was needed to maintain her transformation.
Blush stepped outside and went to meet up with the person who constantly referred to himself as her master but she only saw as someone who provided her a stable life and a steady job.
Her knowledge and skills had surpassed him a long time ago when it came to herbs and medicine so Blush could have left a long time ago if she wished to.
Her current place in the medicine hall and the blacksmith was still stable and provided her with many jobs which funded her living expenses and research.
The old man had connections to the capital and the medicine guild so acquiring materials and books or research papers was easy for him so it was her relationship with him had proven to be beneficial.
As a half demon and a magic user, she still did not reveal herself to those around her but she did learn to trust others a little more than before and the old man was among them.
She did sometimes reveal her medical abilities but there was a limit to how much she could do or reveal because she was in a sensitive time.
Suddenly curing things that skilled doctors could not cure would only draw unnecessary attention to herself and affecting the progress of the future could cause some serious ripples.
In the current age, talented and capable women were still despised and looked down upon and even in some places they were accused of being a witch if they stood out or excelled too much that they were better than men so Blush had to be careful to avoid standing out anymore than she already was.
Luckily she had found a couple of people who treated her well in the city so her life was not too bad.
Blush stepped into the back room where the old man was carrying out an experiment so she calmly waited.
Blush noticed that the old man made a slight error during the process but remained silent until he was finished. "Old man Arbor, what do you have for me today?"
The old man named Arbor raised his head and smiled. "So you have come, we are visiting a noble house this time so you should know how to handle everything yourself."
Blush nodded calmly. "Neat and smart. Mind my manners and treat them without offending them."
The nobles were the worst patients to treat because they were very prideful and valued their reputation greatly.
Entering as a doctor was a big risk because death was always a possibility if the noble was known for being difficult to deal with.
If their illness or weakness was exposed without the doctor having a way to treat it then they would either be killed for being unable to provide a cure or to silence them to protect the secret.
Those were the most extreme cases but there were always people which had entered and either offended a noble or caught their eye so most powerless people would only suffer.
Old man Arbor had constantly instructed Blush on how she should behave and present herself to be able to carry out her job and to keep herself out of trouble when handling patients even if they were among the more difficult or dangerous types.
In that area, Arbor was much more experienced than Blush so she learned quite a lot while learning a little more about money and business management.
Blush had finished checking her appearance and carried a bag full of tools with her while old man Arbor lead the way towards a large gate and walls which surrounded a large mansion.
"Halt!"
