I-I can't fucking believe it! There's nothing coming out of my hands! I'm trying to mimic the exact moments and gestures as the teacher but I can't seem to produce even a spark. I can't really turn my head to look around as I'm in the very front row and this teacher will yell our names for breaking even the slightest of concentration. But I can feel and hear some sparks being conjured by my fellow novices. The lesson had ended for a while now, as for how long? I can't say how much but I think it must've nearly half an hour by now. Hell it could've just been five minutes but I'm my head it feels longer than that. Anyways during his lecture and teaching of conjuring our sparks I could not listen, think in my head and practice the movements all at the same time.
It's only now that I have the time to think out loud in my head as I can keep practicing my gestures. I...I really don't know what the fuck I'm doing. All they said is to envision the sparks coming out of your hands as you manifest the spell into reality. By willing it into existence you can control splinters of the fabric of reality and shape it into any tools you need for your spells. This applies to spells of any level of difficulty and is an important lesson to learn early so you can start walking the path of the mystic arts. I know I have a great imagination and a good enough brain to understand what they're saying but my body just can't produce the sparks. Now it's almost lunch time and I can hear a couple more people being able to start producing sparks in front of them. SIGH.
I guess I'll just have to take things one day at a time. I still have another five years before I need to be in America so I'm not really on a rush. After continuing my practice for a little longer the teacher announce for us to stop. We all turn to look towards him and soon another group of students came out to start setting up the tables. "Lunch won't be serve for another hour or so. In the meantime I will assign each and everyone of you a book to study this week at the library." He turns around and begins leaving the courtyard. I'm kinda hungry and want to stay until lunch is served but everyone started moved together as a group towards the direction of our teacher, so I had no choice but to follow. I trail close behind the group as I don't want to risk getting lost and soon we arrive at the library. My eyes land on the current librarian and I can't help but sigh as either he or the next librarian after him will die as a sacrifice to Dormamu.
I begin looking around the shelves as our teacher is currently assigning the rest of the students one book at a time. I try to stick close and not wonder off to far away as I browse through the books. To my surprise there's a few copies of a bunch of books but in many different languages. I can feel my forehead start to sweat as I'm horrible with learning languages. In my previous life I could only speak a fraction of my native language, most of English and a tiny tiny amount of Spanish. Now I'm expected to learn Latin and Sanskrit from scratch on top of practicing my Cantonese and English. SIGH-"Ned!" A voice call out to me, drawing me back to earth as I turn around towards the voice. "Come over here. I don't want you to get lost in these shelves. It might take us days to pry you off the books if you get too sucked in." The teacher let's out a chuckle before waving for me to come over.
I walk towards him to see what my first assignment as a student will be. I've never really had proper education before since I was homeschooled all my life up to this point. I walk up to the burly man as he hands me a thick red leather book. "This is the introduction of magic and what sorcery is for. I want you to finish this and report everything you learn about it to me at the end of this week. Now I know you're young but I'll still hold you to the same standards as everyone else young man." I give him an understanding nod as I accept the fifteen pound binder from his hands. I think he was half expecting me to almost drop the thing because it's size compare to my body is almost comical. However I've been training my body since the tender age of four so this little wieght is nothing new to me. I walk over to a chair and begin to dive into my studies to take my first step towards becoming a sorcerer.

"Ahh so here is where you've been hiding." I'm not sure how long I was zoning out for but I didn't even notice that everyone had left the library to go get lunch. I was only brought back to earth after hearing a calm yet dominating voice call out to me. I look up to see who it was and it's the Ancient One. "Hi. Did I missed something?" I gave her a wave before slowly sweeping my eyes around the room to check my surroundings. "Oh fuck I missed lunch didn't I?" My palm automatically lands on my forehead as I close up my book and begin getting out of my chair. "Don't be afraid young Ned. You may had missed the opportunity to get in line for lunch but I had brought you a steam bun just in time before your class starts again." She grew a simple smile before producing a white boa from under her sleeve. I accept the bun and thank her before picking up my book to begin heading towards the classroom I was in yesterday.
Fortunately I arrived at the perfect time as everyone else had also started to make their way towards the room. I find myself a seat in the front once more get a better view of the teacher and their lectures. After what only felt like a couple of minutes a different teacher made her way into the classroom. "Today call we'll be learning how to meditate. Now if you already know how to meditate then please proceed to do so while I teach the others how to meditate. For those whom don't know how to meditate pay close attention or else you'll just be sitting there with your eyes closed." She sits down into a lotus position before straightening her back.
"Now when meditating. The most important thing is to empty one's mind and self. To become nothing. Now doing nothing may sound easy but when meditating, we are not doing nothing. No, we are becoming nothing. To meditate is to allow the mind and soul to tap back into the void and open up towards the myraid of higher knowledge. In the future when you are learning a spell that you can't understand or having difficulty drafting a new spell of your own creations, meditating is one of the best ways to overcome that hurdle. Whether or not you succeed your bottleneck is up to you, but meditating will help you get there." She lets out an exhale before taking in a deep breath. "The second most important thing about meditation is breathing. If you don't breathe, you die." The sound of a chuckle escape the lips of a couple of students in the room, me included.
"Breathing may sound simple but it's much more complicated than what you or I normally do. To breath during meditation is to become one with your lungs and your entire respiratory system. You breathe using not just your lungs but your stomach as you once did was a newborn. A simple way to keep your mind from wondering off into the void as you empty it out during your meditation is to simpily count your breaths." She smiles before closing her eyes. "Now everyone close your eyes and straighten your back. Take a deep breath through your nose. Hold it in for just a moment longer than your regular breathing and exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat and count each breath as you allow your mind to empty out." I close my eyes and try to follow closely as my thoughts begin to fade out. My mind slowly becomes clearer and empty while also wondering through the-
