Bonus Episode 1. Ian Sergio's Problem

Narrowly avoiding the attendants shoveling piles of snow, the postal carriage arrived in front of the grand duke's manor in Eaton, Gaior's capital. The mail carrier handed a small pile of envelopes to one of the page boys sweeping the road, who took them while wiping the sweat off his forehead.

He didn't bother to check who'd sent them and jogged straight toward the manor, clutching them to his chest. He wiped a hand under his red nose as he stomped on the doormat to rid his shoes of snow, then dumped the letters on the table in the entrance hall before racing back out to finish sweeping.

A little while later, the butler gathered the pile and started heading up the stairs to Ian's study. As he flipped through the stack, he froze mid-step, gaping at the crest of an eagle holding two crossed axes within a large shield.

It was the Ihar seal.
