Esmeralda returned to Ethan's side soon after his call as Selene did not take much time as they had expected. They did not say a word out of the ordinary. Esmeralda neither raised any questions nor wanted any answers as she was certain that the matter did not concern her and that she should stay away from it. Selene was an adult and she knew better than anyone about what she was doing with her life. And she, Esmeralda, of all people had no right to comment on someone's love story when her own was no less than a forbidden one.
