Kapitel 420: Chapter 419: Camp (Edited)

The speaker was a tired, grumpy-looking man with a large gold watch in his hand and a tweed suit under a pair of thigh-high rubber boots.

Beside him was an equally tired and grumpy man, holding a thick roll of parchment and a quill, dressed in the kind of pleated skirt and South American cloak worn by Highland men....

"Minerva, these two are dressed strangely."

(●?ω?●)?

Fish pointed at those two people and said bluntly, he had stayed in the Muggle world for so long and has watched TV shows for so long, and still has some understanding of Muggle dressing habits.

At the sound of Fish's voice, the two surly men looked up.

"Professor McGonagall!"

The man with the parchment shouted in surprise, rather than impatience, and the other man with the large gold watch, though not as excited as his colleague, also showed respect for Professor McGonagall.

Apparently, the man with the parchment was a Gryffindor.

"Bazil, and Phyllis," Professor McGonagall nodded to the two men, handing them the toy car in her hand, "It's been a long time, I didn't expect you to be in charge of the reception, where are the people from the Sports Department?"

A pained look crossed their faces at the same time. Bazil, wearing a short pleated skirt, dropped the toy car into a large box beside him and replied angrily, "Bagman is doing nothing, other departments each had their own excuses, pushing and shoving this unfortunate job to the Transportation Department, and our office is in charge of managing the Portkey..."

He shrugged, "Phyllis and I were unlucky enough to get overtime." Then he turned his head to look at Fish next to Professor McGonagall, "That's the boy you adopted, right? That's a good boy! What about the other two?"

"Hermione Granger, a Gryffindor student, and Rolf Scamander, Newt's grandson, who is going to Ilvermorny, in the United States of America, and is here with us today."

"Mr. Scamander's grandson!" Phyllis, who hadn't said much, got excited, "He's a legend of our Hufflepuffs!"

Rolf gasped, he hadn't expected his grandfather to be so famous at Hogwarts...he was obviously always bullied by his grandmother at home.

"Sorry, Professor, the next batch will be here soon," After a few polite words, Phyllis looked at the gold watch in her hand and said with some regret, "I'll pay you a visit when we're done with our work."

Bazil, in turn, glanced at the parchment in his hand, "Your camp is in the first camp...about a quarter mile down the road, the camp manager is Mr. Roberts, he's a Muggle."

"Well, you've worked hard."

Professor McGonagall nodded and led the three young men in the direction Bazil had pointed.

The four walked for about twenty minutes through the uninhabited bog until they came to a small stone hut.

In the clearing behind it stood hundreds of oddly shaped tents, stretching down the gentle slope of a large field that stretched to a dark forest on the horizon.

At the entrance to the hut stood a man, dressed as plainly as Fish and the others, who must have been the caretaker named Roberts.

Fish approached the man, but he didn't seem to react, looking a bit dazed.

"He's only been under a Dememorizing Charm," Professor McGonagall glanced at Mr. Roberts' condition and immediately realized what was going on, "We'll wait a moment."

Sure enough, after more than ten seconds, Mr. Roberts blinked and his bored expression gradually came to life.

"Oh, hello," he nodded to Professor McGonagall, before his eyes locked on Fish, "Your son is so cute," he complimented, but his eyes were still fixed on Fish. But he was talking to Professor McGonagall, "I take it you've come camping as well?"

"That's right, McGonagall, a tent, booked three days ago."

"One moment, please..." Mr. Roberts withdrew his gaze from Fish, then turned to look at the form taped to the door of the stone hut, "Well, I found it, good location, right near the tap, it'll be easy to fetch water.... Just for one night?"

"Yes."

"Well, pay now, will you?" Mr. Roberts offered a price.

Professor McGonagall took a few pounds out of her bag and handed it to the clerk....

Even if she didn't go to Granger House as a guest, she had lived with Muggles as a child, so, although Muggle currency wasn't exactly the same as it was then, Professor McGonagall wasn't as clueless as other wizards.

Besides...

This wasn't the first time she'd seen the Quidditch World Cup, and she was familiar with similar processes.

"Here, here's your change." Mr. Roberts pulled the change out of a tin can and handed it to Professor McGonagall, along with a map, "And a map of the camp, your tent is in this area."

Very kindly, he drew a circle on the map with his finger and, as he had said before, there was a water tap sign not far away.

"Thank you.

Professor McGonagall smiled and nodded to him.

And Mr. Roberts smiled and waved his hand, saying affectionately, 'You are old men or boys, as it should be, as it should be..... Do you need me to help you set up the tent?"

At this time, he suddenly reacted, looked at the light luggage people and asked: "Where are your luggage and tent?"

"Some of our fellows have already brought them for us," Hermione remedied in time. "We're not very strong, after all."

"Nya?"

∑(?ΦωΦ?)

Fish turned his head to look at Hermione, he was very strong!

Just when Fish wasn't convinced and wanted to rebut, Hermione hit his ribs with an elbow first....

She had often reminded him of this when he was a guest at Hermione's, so Fish could only wrinkle his nose reluctantly and keep his mouth shut.

"Exactly, can you help find out where they are? our partner is Weasley."

"Oh... they're already here," Mr. Roberts looked at the form again, "But they're a bit far from you," he added, pointing on the map, "Here, at the edge of the forest."

"Yes, thank you very much."

Professor McGonagall gave Hermione an approving look, then nodded again to the janitor, took Fish's hand and walked toward the camp gate.

The four of them walked through the gate and into the camp, where there were tents everywhere. As it was still early, most of those who had arrived earlier were still asleep in their tents, with only the occasional wanderer lurking around.

After a brief walk through the tents, Fish already smelled the scent of many acquaintances, and excitedly told Hermione and Professor McGonagall about his discovery.

"Oliver is in that direction, Seamus smells heavier over there, Harry and Ron are over here, the big tent in the center must be Draco's, and in the one next to it are Daphne and Astoria, along with Pansy, Goyle and Crabbe..."

Hermione looked towards the center of the camp following Fish's hand, and the nearby tents were particularly striking, some of which were palace-shaped, tall and landscaped....

The one he pointed out was Draco's palace-shaped tent, with a few peacocks tied to the entrance, and a garden, complete with bird bath, sundial, fountain and so on.

The Slytherins were really like pureblood "aristocrats".

Hermione pursed her lips in disdain and then pulled Fish to quicken her pace, as she didn't want Fish to interact with them.

Professor McGonagall, who evidently didn't like purebloods either, quickened her pace as well, and before long the four of them arrived at their campsite, a small clearing with a sign that read "McGonagall."

Not far behind them, a group of people were lining up to get water, and there were some familiar people in line.

"Harry, Ron, Ginny! Fish is here nya!"
