Kapitel 258: Chapter 258: The kitten hates to write (Edited)

A line appeared again in the diary, and now that he had spoken, Voldemort was in no hurry, confident that he was slowly guiding Fish to open up to him.

[You just said your name was Tom Riddle, didn't you?]

Fish quickly wrote in his journal, [The t is for Tom, what's the m for?]

The initials were something Fish knew, and was simply curious.

[Marvolo, it's the name I inherited from my maternal grandfather].

Voldemort liked this middle name better as proof of his wizarding heritage than Tom and Riddle, his Muggle father's names, but after having Voldemort's name, it no longer matters.

[Oh, it's nice to meet you.]

[Me too, nice to meet you].

Voldemort decided to take matters into his own hands, and before Fish could put pen to paper, another line appeared.

[Excuse me, but how did you get my diary?]

[Uroboros found it and gave it to me].

Fish was honest, so far he hadn't seen anything wrong with it Black Diary, and he couldn't be sure if it was Voldemort, or if it was, as he said, a memory sealed in a diary.

[Uroboros? Who is it?]

Voldemort really didn't know, because he had never cared for the basilisk's name.

[A big snake, and a good friend of mine, who said he found you in a pipe.]

]A snake? Do you speak Parseltongue?] Voldemort, still playing his part, pretended to be polite and warned, [Are you a Slytherin? If not, don't reveal your ability to talk to snakes, because the other three houses are prejudiced against people who speak Parseltongue]

[I don't speak Parseltongue] Fish was getting a bit bored after all that writing, so he wagged his tail twice and obviated the subject rather casually: [I was born with the ability to talk to all animals, for reasons unknown]

[What an enviable gift.]

Voldemort wasn't going to dwell on the subject too much, but after a few words of praise, he began to ask about Fish's information, though he had learned some from Ginny before, after all, she had limited information.

[What House are you from?]

Voldemort asked knowingly.

[Gnan Fandango? I think that's the spelling? It's the House where the animal is a lion]

Fish wrote in his diary with some uncertainty.

He knew how to pronounce Gryffindor, but he didn't really know how to spell it, and even though the Gryffindor banner had Gryffindor written on it, Fish had never really paid attention to it, so he got a few letters wrong when he spelled it.

[... it's Gryffindor, can't you even remember the name of your own House?]

Voldemort was speechless, even wondering if Fish was playing a trick on him.

[So what can you do? Fish only started learning to write four years ago, isn't it normal to write it wrong?]

Fish answered directly.

[You only learned to write four years ago?]

With this information alone, Voldemort remembered what Ginny had told him about Fish.

Then he realized why it took Fish so long to write in the diary...

Fish wasn't thinking like a normal wizard!

As Voldemort grimaced at his mistake, Fish went back to writing in the diary.

[Yes, Minerva made Fish learn, Fish doesn't even like to write!]

At that point, the kitten decided he had written enough for the day and wrote in the diary, [I won't write anymore, I'll talk to you later when I have time].

As for the question of whether or not he was Voldemort, the kitten had already forgotten.

[Wait!]

Voldemort in the diary wanted to chat with Fish, but Fish had already closed the diary.

Voldemort: [...]

Now he was beginning to regret giving the diary to Fish.

Only after closing the diary did Fish realize that the man inside the diary, who was probably Voldemort, might suddenly jump out and start a fire, so he jumped off the marble table and returned to his cat form, staring at the black diary on the table.

(=`w′=)

After waiting for a while and finding no movement in the journal, he transformed back into his human form and peeked out cautiously.

"It's really not Voldemort nya?"

Fish scratched his cat head in confusion, wondering what was going on, and simply stopped thinking about it, picked up the diary and put it back in his magical bag, then ran back to bed.

Only Voldemort in the diary was left there sadly.

This time, however, Fish didn't keep Voldemort waiting too long.

Two days later, the diary was opened again.

[Hello, Riddle]

[Hello, Fish]

Voldemort was relieved to find that Fish had not left him alone for months, as he had done before, and quickly flashed a paragraph in the diary, fearing that Fish would suddenly run away again.

[Can you tell me what time it is?]

Voldemort asked, pretending to speak to someone for the first time.

[What time is it?]

Fish looked up at the ceiling unconsciously.

[It's night, I don't know what time, I just came from listening to the story in Minerva's office].

[I asked what year it was, this diary has been abandoned for so long that I know nothing of the outside world].

Voldemort continued to pretend, holding back his anger.

[What year?]

The kitten wiggled his ears in confusion and justifiably wrote in his diary: [Fish doesn't know!]

He knew that in human society there was a number to record the year, but that sort of thing didn't matter to the cat, he just had to remember vacations, vacations, and his own birthday.

Voldemort, who had intended to use this as an excuse to continue his conversation with Fish, was once again left in a rage.

Things had not been going well since he had given the diary to the young wizard, and once again he regretted his decision to give it to Fish.

Only, if he stayed with Ginny and controlled the basilisk to attack the others, there was a good chance that Fish would run into him and the basilisk wouldn't be able to do anything about it.....

Could this little wizard be his nemesis?

In the diary, Riddle gritted his teeth in hatred, but he had to be patient and keep talking to Fish.

[So, can you tell me what's been going on at school lately? I'm curious to know what's going on outside]

[Fish got a bunch of cards for Valentine's Day a while back, but no gifts]

[Really? So you're very popular, I used to get love letters at school too]

Knowing that Fish wasn't thinking like a normal person, Voldemort had to play along and try to steer the conversation back to the topic of Mrs. Norris being petrified.

Unfortunately...

[No more! Fish is going back to sleep!]

After about ten sentences, the kitten gave up again.

Voldemort: [...]

Voldemort, who was almost powerless at this point, could not interfere with Fish's actions and could only wait in silence.

Although Fish intermittently forgot to check if the Tom in his diary was Voldemort, he at least cared about him, so he did not forget about him as much as before, and talked to Voldemort intermittently for a few days.

Although the conversation wouldn't get past about ten words a day, Voldemort finally brought up the subject of Mrs. Norris a bit.

When Fish told Riddle that his best friend had been petrified and that they had written on the wall that the Chamber of Secrets had been opened, Voldemort in the diary was close to tears.

[Has the Chamber of Secrets been opened again?]

Voldemort's handwriting trembled as he wrote the words, God knows what he had gone through to talk about the subject while ignoring Fish's irrelevant topics.

[Has the Chamber of Secrets been opened before nya?]

There was a glint in Fish's green eyes, though he was unconcerned, he remembered Professor McGonagall's warning well enough not to reveal that he already knew that the Chamber of Secrets had been opened by Voldemort.

[The Chamber of Secrets was opened when I was a fifth year.]

The handwriting in the diary became scrawled and messy, as if Tom was desperate to tell everything he knew.

[The monster inside had killed a student, and the whole school was in a panic. I caught the man who opened the Chamber of Secrets and he was expelled, but the headmaster, Professor Dippet, was so ashamed of what had happened at Hogwarts that he wouldn't let me tell the truth...]

[Ugh...]

ε=(′ο`*))

Here, the kitten sighed helplessly, it looked like he was going to waste time playing with the claw sharpener and the other instruments.

He shouldn't have written in this journal!
