'You'll be the head of the family one day at this rate'
'At your age, no one compares to you'
'very good, you are amazing, I'm very proud'
Memories of how everyone around him praised his talent and effort replayed in his mind. Jayden hoped to become not only one of the Triangle's S-Class students but the strongest of them all.
Being trained by his family, each time he saw the statistics on his status increase, he was satisfied. However, as soon as he enters the Triangle, he is confronted with reality.
Watching the situation play out, he can't help but grunt.
Talent? Even if he tried his best, he couldn't get into the S class, nor be the strongest in the A class.
He grew up with the resources of the Black family and still failed, at this point, Jayden began to question his talent.
Watching monsters like Lucas Væresberg, Raisel Silvius, and Alan Walker he felt more and more inferior, Jayden began to feel that the world was conspiring against him.
His desire to be on top became an obsession.
Jayden was always watching the three of them, wondering what they did differently.
"Let's fight."
This was the first time he had spoken to one of them. Lucas with his high perception started to think that Jayden hated him because he talked to everyone but him.
Of course, Jayden didn't speak to Alan or Raisel either, but Lucas didn't watch enough to notice.
"Um? what do you mean? now!?"
Swinging his new acquisition in Lucas's direction, Jayden grinned.
"And is there a better time? We've both chosen our spiritual weapon and I want to fight you!"
Holding his sword, Lucas frowned and looked at the professor standing beside him with his hand on his chin. The distribution of spiritual weapons was happening, the choice was on a first-come, first-served basis.
They had everything from scythes, bows, swords and knives to pistols and rifles.
They had low and medium-quality weapons, but none of the high quality.
"Alright. Since you guys are excited, this is a good chance to test your spiritual weapons." Clapping his hands, the teacher waved, causing the students who were there to move away. "I'll be the judge, if I think you're crossing the line you stop. And remember, this is a demonstration."
still, a little wary, Lucas nodded before walking away from Jayden.
Taking a few steps away from each other, both holding their weapons, the professor with his hand pointed towards the sky, descended indicating the beginning of the then 'clash'.
*****
Jayden Black is the typical minor villain. Someone incredibly arrogant who can't stand the idea of not being special.
Originally, he was hoping to be the strongest student in the Triangle, number 1 in Class S.
But as soon as he entered the Triangle, he was confronted with reality. Failing to even be the strongest of Class A.
However, his subconscious does not accept the situation, he tries in every way to convince himself that something was wrong, not confronting reality.
As soon as he accepts reality, he goes crazy, and how does he accept reality? Good...
Watching the shocked face of his student who was on the floor, the teacher sighed.
He more than anyone knew what that must have done to Jayden, he was obsessed with being number one and now he had lost in a humiliating way.
After about a minute of the battle had started, Lucas raised his sword and aimed it at Jayden.
What happened next was even more mysterious in the professor's view.
His sword began to spew out mysterious energy after he lifted it, as it was enveloped in energy, he greedily lowered it. By the time she passed Jayden's ax breaking it, he had lost it.
I had hoped to try to stop this fight, but I arrived too late.
One hit. Lucas wraps his sword in mana, slashes the spirit weapon and slashes Jayden's chest through his uniform
He loses without even starting.
"Near quality spirit weapons don't break that easy, that's because of Lucas' skill."
While the teacher tried to justify what had happened, gaining all the attention of the students.
I watched Jayden mutter over and over again, 'I'm better than them, I'm better than them, I'm better...'
In the novel, as soon as he enters the Triangle, Jayden starts looking for ways to get stronger, and eventually finds it.
He becomes a lackey of a demon, one of the worst, the demon of fear.
"Things are going to get complicated..."
Killing Jayden Black was a problem. The protagonist kills him and gains the stigma of evil, halving his power.
He can only get rid of the stigma when he meets an emission-type skill user.
One of the heroines has the level 10 skill 'Magic Energy Manipulation.
"It doesn't matter if I think about it now, I just have to get stronger to survive whatever comes."
I muttered, before looking at Jayden who was in shock for a few seconds. I tore my eyes away from him and stared at my spirit weapon.
A pair of black brass knuckles made from the core of a blue lion.
It was a tier 2 spirit weapon.
Even though it's a tier 2 weapon, it was made from the core of a mighty monster. It had a very high value and a lot of potentials.
It had some level 3 swords, but I wasn't a big fan. I chose brass knuckles mainly because they are fire resistant and also because I like them better than swords, but my business is magic.
Taking my eyes off my spirit weapon, I paused to observe the characters' choices. – we're still the same.
Lucas took a level 3 sword, Raisel a 3 bow, and Jayden a 2 hammer.
As for Dhara and Riven, the former took out a pair of black knives, and Riven took out a large dagger.
"Some things never change."
I muttered, looking at the teacher who was explaining the new classes they would have started today.
"Tomorrow you will have combat class with a personalized instructor. He will teach each of you to use your skills differently and will train what you lack in your status. This is an A-class exclusive preparation for the monthly dungeon exam, so study well."
The teacher's explanation continued.
In fact, on top of all this, it was a way for the Triangle to acquire whatever information it could about the student's abilities.
The teacher knew this, yet said nothing.
Treating the professor as a friend was a mistake, he was an employee, and that's all.
"So you're dismissed."
The moment his words came out, I packed up my brass knuckles and ran to the gym. After a good amount of time training my magical energy, it was time to train my stats.
Physical condition is extremely important. Having his body showered with magical energy makes humans capable of using it able to go beyond the human limit.
There are superhumans capable of running at high speed or having super strength just by using magical energy in their bodies.
It was also why the divide between ordinary humans and superhumans was so great.
As soon as I entered the training room, I could see some students occupying various pieces of equipment. Passing by them, I walked away a little to then choose the treadmill.
Turning it on, I started to run, increasing my speed gradually. My current limit was 7.12 m/h, which was average.
This is because the original Dreyden was very hardworking.
During my practice, I tried my best to maintain a fast pace, putting so much effort into my training, I started to ignore my surroundings.
"Damn... it's more... difficult than I thought." I muttered inwardly.
Some hours later, I could feel I was on edge, as soon as I decided to stop someone's voice woke me up.
"You have a lot of stamina, more than most."
I glanced at the treadmill beside me where Lucas was starting to run.
Frankly, I didn't want to get involved with Lucas right now. He wasn't a protagonist who would risk his life for everyone, but he was still a problem.
At the Triangle, I was careful to avoid crossing his path because he seemed strangely interested in me.
"I have a habit."
"It does." He replied.
His footsteps echoed as he started to run on the treadmill.
And so, we stayed there for hours running in silence, losing track of time.
Lucas wanted to say something but hesitated every time he saw me concentrating on my training.
Finally building up the courage, he asked.
"So, have you decided on my proposal?"
"It's still a no."
Thinking for a second, Lucas replied, "Why not?"
I rolled my eyes as I pressed to slow down and eventually stop. Noticing my actions, Lucas did the same.
"Let me ask you a question, what do you see in me?"
Silently, Lucas stared at me as if he'd seen something strange. Instead of saying anything, he closed his eyes and sighed.
"Alright, I'll stop bothering you, but the proposal still stands."
He left the training room without looking back.
Watching Lucas walk away, I went back to my training, this time going to other equipment.

'What do you see in me?'
It was an impossible question for Lucas to answer. He still remembers the day he got his ability.
Having worked for a long time, once he was able to buy a skill he was extremely disappointed.
Cursing his level 2 skill that had nothing to do with combat, he lost his hopes of becoming one of humanity's mainstays.
But when he activated his ability, he saw the world from another perspective.
_____
[Luck Point {2}]
Can observe beneficial luck points for the user.
Details:
The red color means misfortune.
The color blue, neutral.
The color yellow, luck.
The golden color, very lucky.
The color white is unknown, either very lucky or very unlucky.
_____
Since getting this ability, Lucas' life has changed, he's been able to control his luck.
It was still quite refreshing for him to buy a lottery ticket that glowed yellow and win a lot of money.
Always wearing his family's necklace, as ever since he used his ability, the necklace was the only thing he could see that glowed gold.
It was also thanks to his skill that he discovered that there was something strange about that necklace, eventually trying to find out what it was.
"Are you still worried about that boy?"
Lost in his thoughts as he walked back to his room, he heard a voice reverberate in his mind.
Nodding at the mysterious voice, he sighed.
"Don't worry, that boy glows in white, you've tried everything you can about the other colors, try to influence his color yourself."
Trying to help him, the voice answered, but Lucas still felt awkward.
"Usually it glows white, when I try to bring it to my team it glows blue. I wonder what's so special about it?"
He muttered under his breath as I tried to contemplate the situation.
Being cautious, Lucas experimented with his skill several times, discovering that the color can change depending on people's choice and use of the object.
For example, when he found Arlo he was red and bringing him to his team he turned yellow.
Expecting some sort of response from the voice in his head, he started to pick up his pace when he heard no response.
Which made him even more distressed, since that voice seemed to know everything.
"What a strange situation..."
another thing, I don't get mad when you guys comment on the grammar mistakes, you can go on, it helps me a lot.
