Jane's dark eyes blazed into Ava's. 'However you dress it up, it seems to me that boy was turned 'wolf because of you. You're trouble. Stuck up, skinny-assed trouble, whatever dumb color you put in your hair.'
Before Ava could open her mouth to utter another word, a nurse poked his tired head around the curtain. 'You two – take any fights outside, please. You're disturbing the patients.'
'We're done,' said Jane. With a last filthy look at Ava, she stalked away, pushing past the nurse.
Ava listened to the click of her neat little footsteps dwindle down the corridor.
Only when the noise had stopped altogether and the nurse went back about his business did Ava allow the tears to fall.

I know you all haven't gotten an update for awhile, but that ends now. This month, all my focus will be on TLW, and one of the reasons I'll be doing this is because I would love to join the win-win mission for the month. But the truth is, I won't be able to do it without you. So please, if you love my writing and are enjoying this book, support me by unlocking my privileged chapters. It will mean the world to me. And the moment we hit my first tier, I'll upgrade daily updates to four chapters.
