Kapitel 48: Safe

Haruka was preoccupied with thoughts of Naoki's presence at the City Square such that she was unaware of the time she got back home.

It was all thanks to her mother's excited cry that brought her back to reality.

As soon as Hana learned of the safe return of her husband and her daughter from her maidservant, she scrambled to her feet and ran outside, forgetting about her demeanour.

The same rules she usually preached to Haruka about, were the same rules she was going against at the moment.

The joy radiating from the depths of her heart, plus the deep relief her mind got after learning of their return. Prompted her unladylike manners.

"Ruka!" She called out endearingly as she dashed out of the house with Kenji quickly following behind her.

The young man didn't have to run like she was as being tall had a great advantage over her that was ahead. With just two long strides, he was able to catch up with her.
