Aella couldn't help but burst into tears when her attempt to attack the male who have rid her of her dignity was proven futile.
Her body floated in the air as she opened her mouth widely to cry like a little baby whose favourite snack has been taken away from him.
She didn't even know the reason for her tears. All she knew was she had the sudden urge to let out all the pending emotions she had kept bottled up so she did.
Her stupid twin sister had placed a curse on the family. They had lost their estate. Her father had collapsed shortly after. She was sent to kill a mythical demon to reverse the damnation.
She had been on the sickly journey for a month now, slaying monsters which crossed her path to take her as their dinner. She hadn't been able to sleep, eat, or rest for so long!
And now, she had been stripped naked by an unknown male who had mysterious powers that were keeping her in the air!!
How much more could a lady handle?! Just how much more?!
"W-Why are you releasing the waters? Are you hurt anywhere?" the cool voice asked but she was too drowned in her sorrows that she paid no attention to him.
"Seize the action at once, you will only deteriorate your health even further," he muttered.
"Just let me die!! Let me die and end this all!!" Aella belted out as she sniffed.
Her body was still hovering in the air as she waddled her limbs aggressively, effectively throwing a tantrum.
Then she felt her weight being moved backwards and before she knew it, she was sitting on the soft bed again.
Aella took the duvet and drew her knees closer as she buried her face into her body while crying.
"J-Just a dream, just another nightmare," she shook her head, trying to calm herself down.
"A terrible dream. This isn't real," she mumbled with quivering lips.
"Putting yourself in delusion is only a short-lived comfort. What is reality should be accepted without fail," the male named Bane muttered with a cold tone.
Aella snapped her head up as she glared at him with her nostrils flaring with rage.
"Y-You slimy brute!!" She pointed at him, her face still puffy and red from her tears.
"Why would you do something as despicable as this?!" Aella hissed.
"I still am uninformed of what wrong I have done,"
He kept a clear distance between them but that didn't assure her of her safety at all.
"You really are ignorant?! How could you take off a stranger lady's clothes without her consent? Have you no shame, you monstrous being!!" Aella yelled at him as she placed her hands on her chest.
She felt so dirty and disgusted with her body.
Her mother had cautioned her so many times, not to ever let a male see her assets before they tied the knot.
She had been preserving herself with utmost care for the day she would get married but now, this being had ripped her off her modesty!!
How would she ever be able to live?!
"You exaggerate. I had informed you earlier you were boiling up so I did the right by ridding you off those clothes. They were smelly and soaked with filth anyway so I burned them up,"
His words rang loudly in her ears which made her blink up at him to make sure she heard right.
"P-Pardon me?! You what?!" She yelped out with fright.
"I said I set fire on them," he replied with not a single grain of remorse on his tongue.
Aella fell back to the bed, feeling dizzy and disoriented by her current state.
She had no idea where she was, and she was with a perverted and diabolical male who had not an ounce of shame.
"You behave strangely. Are you sure there is nothing wrong with you?" He asked again.
"I-I can not speak at the moment. Please, leave me alone for a while," Aella silently begged for him to listen to her plea.
"Outrageous. You do not order me," he seethed as he towered over her.
"Order? It was a request!" Aella snapped.
What on glorious earth was wrong with this man?!!
"Well, request denied then," he muttered and she could only stare at him with a look of agitation.
"I can not leave until I have made sure your fever has been terminated and that you have eaten a meal," he turned his back towards her and headed to the chair at the corner of the room.
When he whirled back, she was shocked to see him holding a tray of steaming and sumptuous-looking food as he walked toward her.
Had that been here all along? She doesn't remember seeing it there so where did he get it from in the blink of an eye?!
"Here you go, you should eat this," he didn't bother to wait for a response before he dropped the tray on her lap abruptly.
Aella stared down at the food as though a monster was going to appear from it anytime soon.
She had her speculations about the meal which was why she didn't reach out immediately even though her entire body ached for it badly.
She had no idea where he had gotten the food from or what was inside it.
Who knew? He might have added something to make her go mad or maybe to place her under the spell of the demon just like him.
Mother said never to accept food from strangers, especially men. Never!
"It's a rice pudding mixed with some herbs that you humans often eat. Your expression looks bewildered," he mumbled and she looked up to see he had a frown on his pristine-looking face.
You humans? What did he mean by that? Wasn't he also one?
"I-I am not famished. I appreciate the gesture but I must reject it," she pushed the tray away from her reluctantly.
"Predictions say you haven't eaten for a few days which resulted in your weakness as the cold added to bring a fever. It was your obstinance that caused you to be ill. You should eradicate such habits," the man named Bane scolded her as though he were her mother.
"I said I have no need for it," she pushed the tray even further.
"Be it well. I have no right to enforce it on you," he shrugged lightly before he reached down to take the tray but Aella was faster than him.
She gripped the wooden tray and pushed her body to the side lightly as she strained to meet his eyes from where she sat on the bed.
"Well, if you insist. I wouldn't want to mock your generosity," she sighed as though a huge load has been dropped on her before she lifted the spoon with her dainty fingers.
"Generous is suited as an antonym when talking about me. I just don't want to find a corpse in my territory. They are a hassle and they reek excessively," he uttered before he turned back to sit on his chair, leaving a flabbergasted Aella bulging her eyes out at him.
