​​Cas woke blearily, realizing with a jolt that he’d shifted into his base form while sleeping. But he couldn’t bolt up and cover himself because there was always a pair of legs intertwined with his and a head resting on his chest, fingertips skimming his abdomen.

Mingan’s breath was warm against his skin. “Why don’t you tell her who you are?” she murmured. “Your real name is much better than your fake one.”

“You like saying my name?” he asked coyly, furtively glancing over to find Shani across the way, right where he’d left her, still in her wolf form sleeping peacefully.

She craned her neck to kiss the underside of his chin. “Yes, Casimir Olwen. Why are you trying to hide your identity from her?”

Cas smiled and kissed her back, arm looping around her torso, feeling thoughtful, recalling the events of the past few days.

“It’s not like she’s going to blab to anyone,” Mingan continued. “It’s just us three traitors and misfits now.”
