Beomgyu's pov
It's been a week and no one has disturbed the peace in this white sand island as of yet.
And I'm praying to the gods to keep it that way because I just recovered completely and all I want is to explore the beach all day.
My bodyguard still haven't got an idea I can walk freely to prevent him from disturbing my privacy.
It would've been easy if the guy doesn't wake up very early. He literally is the reason of my anxiety lately and it started when I saw him standing at the foot of my bed staring at me.
Offering food on a tray whenever it's time for my meds.
Sometimes it just creeps me out but he just said that's in his job description and pointed out that the nurses do this a lot, so complaining about it might give him a weird impression.
But today, for some reason, he hasn't invaded my room yet even though it's already a few minutes past six in the morning.
I washed my face and brushed my teeth as fast as I could, then changed from grey pajamas to a plain white shirt and denim knee-length shorts.
Rather than combing my messy hair, I just run my fingers over and shoved a black cap on my head before rushing towards the back door.
Thanks to the cemented and curved staircase, it was easy to climb down the small hill surrounded by non-fruit bearing trees.
The air feels dry and the breeze is perfectly warm even though the sun is still hiding behind the horizon. I stretched my arms up high and was about to take my shirt off when I noticed someone jogging along the shore.
It was a figure of a woman in all black. Which is weird considering the home keeper is a middle-aged man and there's only three of us living in this place.
To be sure I'm not hallucinating, I shortened our gap in stealthy footsteps. I was about to yell to catch her off guard when the cop called her from the docks at the front side.
"Cass! Come here quick!"
"What? Why?" She responded curiously and changed her course. I quickly hid behind the coconut tree nearby and tried my best to listen to what they're discussing about.
"Is that a ship?" He pointed to the east and there's no need to squint just to see it. She just nodded and wiped her sweaty forehead with the back of her hand.
"I thought the butler said commercial ships don't pass here?"
"What the fuck?" She immediately turned and ran across the fine, white sand.
"Where are you going?!" He chased her while looking back and forth.
"If ships don't pass here then that's definitely not invited, I have to confirm through the binoculars!"
I followed her straight to the rooftop and she kept cursing left and right I gotta calm her down.
"Hey!" I called and she instantly turned around, shocked and confused.
"What are you doing here?!" She ran towards me and pulled my arms back to the door.
"W-wai-"
"There are some intruders lurking, DO NOT expose yourself to the snipers!"
"What are you talking about?"
She only took a deep breath and hugged me tight.
Then she dragged me down as fast as she could, further to the basement where a room is full of security cameras on every corner of the villa, in and out.
"Stay here and don't ever open the panic room unless you have been contacted directly on the phone inside!"
I have so much questions, yet she's already pushing the heavy door close.
