Kapitel 41: Chapter 41: The Disciplinary Hearing

Zale POV

My thoughts were groggy, muddled and fuzzy. I was unable to recall the last thing I did before I fell asleep. No, I did not fall asleep; I passed out due to exhaustion.

It had been hours...perhaps even an entire day that I had lost. Fear and anxiety ran through me as I tasted the wolf’s breath in my mouth...its musky scent upon my sheets and clothes.

It had been awake, roaming around in my body; that much I knew. There was neither trace of blood nor the faint taste of it so I knew I had not hurt anyone while the wolf had worn my skin.

Or perhaps I was the one who shifted into it.

There was no way of telling anymore.

I reached for my tablet and found it broken in two upon my desk. I remembered...I had learned about Adeline and my distant cousin, Mark Miller, becoming rather close as of late.

I remembered how I had shattered the tablet, how possessive and jealous I felt when my PIs sent me the pictures of Adeline and Mark spending time together on campus.
