Kapitel 562: THE LAST LAUGH

The grand hall was filled with laughter and the clinking of glasses for Ivan's celebration. The chandeliers over head has casted a warm glow over the room, illuminating the lavish decorations and the feast laid out before us. Yet, despite the grandeur of the evening, my thoughts kept drifting to the boy sitting beside me—Arnold.

Arnold was practically glued next to me during the entire event. Everyone casted us look as I had invited him to sit right next to me but I didn't care and neither did Ivan. If anything Ivan seemed honored that he was sitting with us because Arnold was a huge survivor. When I look back to the horrors he suffered in the hands of Azar, it brought wave of  tears to my eyes.
