Kapitel 192: Chapter 190. Formidable and Unbeatable? (Part2)

"And... your father is?" After a moment's hesitation, Darcy spoke carefully and asked

"Odin, the greatest most powerful god in Asgard. The King of Asgard, Unfortunately, I failed him..."

"I know you doubt my words. As every other person has been since I arrived here." Thor was no stranger to Darcy's and Erik's reactions. The doctors in the hospital gave him the same look before, "But I am not someone who says false words."

Jane stared at Thor, not seeing the slightest hint of lying on his face. She couldn't help but say, "I believe you."

Turning his head, he and Jane exchanged a silent glance. Thor was somewhat moved, "Thank you."

Aside, Darcy turned and looked at Erik again with an odd expression.

At this time, two men walked into the diner and began to discuss what they had experienced.

"Hey, the usual, please, Izzy!"

"You missed all the excitement out at the crater... They're saying some kind of satellite landed out in the desert. Hehe... We were having a good time with it... Until the feds showed up...."

The words crater and feds that the people were talking about caught Jane's attention. She suspected that the so-called feds were the same people that took her research.

After hesitating for a few moments, she turned her head to the two men and asked, "Excuse me, did you say there was a satellite crash?"

"Yeah, at least that's what they said." One of the men shrugged and answered.

"What did it look like, the satellite?"

To the side, Erik, Jane's colleague, spoke up and asked a follow-up question.

"Well, I don't know anything about satellites, but it was heavy. I mean, nobody could lift it." Spreading his hands out, the man recalled, "They said it was radioactive... I had my hands all over it. I hope it washes off."

Hearing the description from the other party, Thor immediately stopped his movements. He approached the other party, tapped his shoulder and asked, "Which way?"

"Huh?"

"The satellite you were talking about."

"50 miles west of here."

Hearing the location from the other party, Thor turned and walked out without saying anything else.

Looking at Thor's tall figure, the other man shouted from behind, "I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. It looked like the whole Army was coming when we left."

Unfortunately, Thor didn't listen to the other party's advice.

Thor was sure that the so-called satellite, in the man's words, was his weapon -- Mjolnir.

"Where are you going?"

Walking out of the diner, Jane caught up with Thor.

"50 miles west of here."

As he walked in the direction the man pointed to, Thor replied.

"Why?" Jane asked with a puzzled expression.

With no hesitation, Thor replied, "To get what belongs to me."

Jane: "Oh, so you own a satellite now? "

Thor: "It's not what they say it is."

Jane: "Well, whatever it is, the government seems to think it's theirs. So... you're just going to go in there and take it? "

"Yes." Stopping his steps, Thor turned his head to look at Jane, "If you take me there now, I'll tell you everything you wish to know. All the answers you seek will be yours once I reclaim Mjolnir."

"Can I have a word, Jane?"

Looking at Jane, who seemed to be interested in agreeing, Erik couldn't help but speak up and call her over, "Please don't do this..."

"You saw what I saw last night. We've seen the picture; he really did fall out of that cloud, maybe ..."

"That may just be an accident, maybe light reflecting off of the clouds. This guy is delusional; listen to what he's saying. He's talking about Mjolnir, Thor, and Odin..."

"But..."

"He's dangerous, Jane!"

"..."

"I'm sorry, but I can't rake you there."

Facing Jane's choice, Thor didn't show much of a grimace. His encounters on Earth had reminded him that he needed to do some things on his own. He was still reckless but a little less arrogant, "Then this is where we say goodbye. Jane Foster, Erik Slevig, Darcy, farewell."

"So, this is it?"

Seeing Thor leave, Darcy couldn't help but ask, "What should we do next?"

All their research materials had been taken away by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s people. Now, even Thor, the only clue they had, had left.

"I don't know."

Shaking her head, Jane stared at Thor's back, dazed.

"Maybe, we should leave."

Retracting his gaze, Erik spoke up.

...

New Mexico, Puente Antiguo.

Jane sat in her empty car with a blank expression.

S.H.I.E.L.D. took away all her equipment. The van, where it was fully stuffed with her equipment, was now empty; nothing was left.

Silently withdrawing her gaze, Jane turned her head.

Unexpectedly, she noticed Thor's figure.

"I need a horse!"

Walking aggressively into a pet shop, Thor shouted in a commanding tone.

After travelling a short distance to the west, Thor found that reaching Mjolnir by foot was too time-consuming, so he tried to find something to ride on.

Looking up at the tall Thor, the pet shop employee hesitated, then carefully answered, "We don't have horses. Just dogs, cats, birds ..."

"Then give me one of those large enough to ride ..."

"Hey, you still need a lift?" Driving up to the entrance of the pet shop, Jane looked at Thor, who was silently staring at the lizard inside the shop and pulled the window open to ask.

...

"What made you change your mind?"

Sitting in the van, driving towards the crater, Thor looked at Jane in the driver's seat and couldn't help but ask.

"Well, they just stole my entire life's work, I don't really have much left to lose."

Driving a van on the deserted road, Jane explained her reasons.

"Besides, I also want to know who you really are..."

Although Erik had warned her that Thor was delusional, Jane had a feeling that Thor's words were true, even if the only evidence that backed up his story were a few blurry pictures.

With a smile on his face, Thor didn't try to explain to Jane, "You'll see soon enough."

Perhaps he knew that even if he explained it, the other party wouldn't necessarily believe him.

"You promised me answers."

Thor: "What you seek is a bridge..."

Hearing Thor's answer, Jane immediately thought of the wormhole, "Like an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?"

However, Thor's answer was even more vague, "More like a rainbow bridge."

Hearing Thor's answer, Jane couldn't help shaking her head, "Oh God, I hope you're not crazy..."

Just then, she suddenly noticed that a man in a white spotted suit with a bob cut was crossing his arms and sticking out his thumb, clearly looking to hitch a ride.
